Larkwhisper stood on the tip of the rock, surveying the ground below. It was... empty... burning... destroyed.
They frowned, then lashed their tail angrily.
"By the stars, why?" They yowled to no one in particular. They hissed, jumping down from the stone, digging their claws into the ground. They started to walk.
Every step they took. Every breath they breathed. Smoke. Fire. Death.
The Clan's in ruins... They looked up.
A shadow. Across the burning camp. Was coming for Larkwhisper. "No." They muttered, eyes widening as the shadow turned into a wispy blue cat, studded with stars. A familiar face, but not one Larkwhisper could put a name to, "W-who?"
"Seek us out. Follow the sun." The cat murmured, then vanished, replaced by shadow once more.
Larkwhisper's breaths were coming quicker. The warrior was panicking. "No!"
"Larkwhisper! Larkwhisper! Wake up!" A paw shook them awake.
"MROOOW-Hastefur? Wh-what are you doing?" Larkwhisper coughed. They had woken up yowling.
"You were... fidgeting?" Hastefur tilted his head to the side, "And it's noon."
"So it is..." Larkwhisper murmured, walking out of the den, "Turtlestar?" She approached the Clan leader, noticing the ginger cat as she walked through the camp's entrance.
"Yes, Larkwhisper?" Turtlestar dropped the pile of sticks she was carrying.
"I got a message... from the stars. They said to go... seek out them? Follow the sun." Larkwhisper said.
Turtlestar nodded thoughtfully, "You have permission to go."
A few hours later...Larkwhisper padded through the forest, following the path of the sun as it headed west. "This better be for something." They grumbled, shaking a spider from their paw.
They passed a river, stopping for a drink and to hunt. "Blegh." Larkwhisper spat, trying to get the taste of fish out of their mouth. They would have to get a squirrel or something when they returned.
The lynx pointed warrior soon came upon a mountain. They climbed up as much as they could, nearly falling a number of times. There was a cave... but the entrance was blocked by a bunch of rocks.
"Time to be... strong... strength. Buff Larkwhisper. Yep." Larkwhisper shook their head, annoyed, as they pushed rocks and stones aside. Stubbing their four toes like eighty hundred times, they moved the rocks, nearly dropping them off the edge of the mountain. "I think I might've accidentally hit a bird..." Larkwhisper frowned.
Eventually, the cave entrance was cleared, revealing a tunnel. A very, very dusty tunnel. Larkwhisper sneezed, then entered.
They padded along the path for a bit, a couple minutes at least, until they saw a soft, blue glowing light at the end. "A LIGHT! IM NOW A MOTH!" They screamed, running towards it.
The light was coming from a circle of stones... crystals, actually. They turned a few in their paws, "Woah." Their eyes grew larger than the cave itself.
"Welcome, Larkwhisper."
"You!" Larkwhisper stood up, "Who are you?"
The wispy cat smiled, "I am no one and everyone. And you, Larkwhisper, have found the Circle of Stars. This place used to be a place of communication... and now its in ruins. Or was... until you arrived."
Larkwhisper blinked, "What?"
