LBC #0062

Postby horselover1978 » Sat Feb 26, 2022 6:19 pm

The Lone Bashkir Curly horse is a very unique and set apart breed. They are well known for their curly coats, caused by many gene mutations, and their versatility. Lone Curly Horses are often found as chestnut, but have a wide variety of colors, some more rare than others. They range in a height of 13-16 hands, but are often found between 14-15 hands. These horses are found wild in Nevada, USA. Although they are wild, they are also known for their calm and gentle nature. Lone Bashkir Curly Horses got their name due to them not staying in herds with other horses, like most do. Since they are always separated, they often wonder far into owned land and cause disruptions. They have very much grown in population, and many problems have arose, therefore creating the LBC Organization. The LBC Organization is running a rehoming program to protect these horse's while still preserving them. If you're interested, keep an eye out as many are posted for rehoming daily.

Owner: GraveBlues
Show Name: You Were Made For Skies
Barn Name: Icarus
Gender: Stallion
Height: 16hh
Halter: Same as eye color!
Prompt: For Icarus, water is the biggest stressor in his life- all kinds of water, but especially rain and storms. He's had a massive fear of it ever since he can remember, and absolutely refuses to cross or go near anything bigger than a small puddle. Bath day is the WORST day ever, and the rainy season just about makes him want to cry. When he's faced with water in his path he becomes anxious, pacing and pacing for hours on end until he is forced to cross it for one reason or another, in which case he charges forward as quick as he can to just get it over with, kicking up his heels and whinnying up a storm. He doesn't do well with being stressed out, and he rushes for any sort of dry shelter at the first hint of a wet day, and loves to roll around in dry sand or bedding, and he loooves his blankets!

Owner: Orion
Show Name: Rook's Flight
Barn Name: Rook
Gender: Stallion
Height: 15.6hh
Halter: Dark green
Prompt: Rook tends to be a bit antisocial. He's often alone while eating and drinking, and he prefers it to be like that. However, when he is put in social situations, he gets stressed out and nervous. Usually he fidgets with the grass at his hooves, or a spare pebble, he prefers to stand in a corner. Thankfully, Rook's got his best friend, Luke to help him out.

Owner: Zentropy
Show Name: Right on Time
Barn Name: Jam
Gender: Stallion
Height: 16hh
Halter: artist's choice
Prompt: Jam gets very stressed when he is running late, whether it be within his control or not. For him, he needs plenty of time before any large competition or event to run through his moves, or to hype himself up. When he doesn't get the time he needs, he becomes rather nervous and tenses up. Thankfully, he remembers some deep breathing techniques, which tricks him into getting the moments of calm he needs, no matter how anxious he was about it just moments before.
