One day, a butterfly landed square on her tail. She had the bright idea to pounce on her tail, claws and teeth out ready to get the butterfly. It managed to get away and the incident left the scar that's on on her tail.

She lost to a kitten and they managed to scratch her. She didn’t think it was a big deal despite the mother saying how sorry she was that the k it scratched her but she was rather stunned when the medicine cat said after a few days it might scar. Scorpionstrike was furious. Now she’d be the laughing stock of the clan of losing to a kitten and getting a scar from the kitten. How fun…

Nightclaw has many scars. Most of them well earned protecting his clan or surviving along as a rougue in his youth. However he is quite defensive over the long scar along his tail. You see not long after he joined Grove Clan, Nightclaw claw tried to impress his now mate by going into a thick patch of briars and Thorn bushes to get some thick moss for her nest. Getting into the patch wasn't to bad but trying to get out with a big clump of moss was not. He was almost out when he pulled to an abrupt and painful stop. His tail was caught in a tangled of briars and thorns. It took an hour to finally pull free but not without leaving a long nasty gash and a few clumps of fur. His mate never let's him forget the time he got his tail stuck in a Thorn bush.

Night is proud of every scar he has earned. His tail scars are from a fight with a dangerous rogue, when the rogue, as a goodbye "gift", scarred the tail. The scars on his back have been earned by surviving when an eagle swooped down and grabed Night as a kit on the back. Night bit the eagle's wing, and the eagle fell down, letting go of Night. The scars a bit over his nose are from fighting with his siblings as a kit.

But believe it or not, the rest of the scars are from the scare Night got when he was sleeping under a thornbush and a squirrel ran over to his nose. He jumped up, cutting himself where he has the other scars today, because he was scared of the squirrel.

Of course, Night doesn't admit that to his friends; he says that it's from when he jumped into the river and lots of crabs scratched him. But, no one believes it. Would you?

She was chasing a pocket mouse through a ravine. Her focus was on her prey and her prey alone. As she grew closer and closer to her quarry, however, she failed to see the large field of cactus that mouse was headed towards until it was too late. The mouse, with its tiny form, was easily able to dart in between the sharp spines of the cacti and into safety. Hematite was not so lucky. She crashed right into a group of them and while her quick reflexes allowed her jump back in time to avoid getting stuck, she still ended up with many spines sticking out of her. The journey back home was painful, though not nearly as painful as the sting to her pride she took when her clanmates laughed at her upon hearing her story. They would, of course, help her remove the cactus spines but she would forever after bear the scars of her unfortunate blunder.

Although now a powerful and experienced soldier, back in his youth, Asphalt was was pretty reckless. One example is how he got the scar on his left hind leg. He was patrolling the borders when he smelt something yummy. It was a hotdog! An easy meal, he just needed to avoid the food vendor. Asphalt ran, zigzagging around the wheels of the stand and the feet of the men. Asphalt grabbed the hotdog and turned around. Feeling a little daring, Asphalt jumped through the wheel when his hind leg hit one of the spokes. The spoke broke and cut through the fur and skin leaving a mark. Asphalt limped back home and made up a story about a fight with a dog. He has never told a soul about the truth behind his scar.

Coal crouched down and slowly edged toward her prey, it was neslted deep in a thorn bush but she was small enough that she could squeeze through the tightly woven branches. She paused, there was her prey a small hopping mouse, she inched forwards even slower.
Then she leaped forwards sinking her teeth into her prey. She'd caught it, but there was a problem... it seemed the bush had caught her... Eventually she managed to wriggle her way out but not without some serious scratches. Even though no one saw, she was embarrassed and couldn't forget about it for weeks and it seems the stars never forgot either, giving her the -thorn ending to her name when she found Craterclan.
