Prompt: Coppercoyote treasures his food. He cannot live without it, literally.

Coppercoyote blinked his eyes awake sleepily as he remembered what had happened a few days before. Coppercoyote and his friend, Peachcrown, had gone exploring on a patrol sent by their deputy to find new terrain for their growing clan. They were sent together and unfortunately, they both got caught up in a fierce storm. Coppercoyote and Peachcrown were able to return two days later but returned carrying severe sickness and nearly dying from hypothermia. Coppercoyote shook his head to chase away the awful memory of them returning barely being able to walk.

He was nested in the large medicine cat cave-den next to his friend who also caught the sickness with him. Peachcrown was still sleeping soundly. Coppercoyote was swarmed with a relieving memory. Goldenleaf was struggling to keep them alive as she didn't know exactly what to give them for their hypothermia, anxiety, and exhaustion. She had tried the usual and the abnormal but nothing had worked. When they were both hanging on for dear life on the last string, Goldenleaf sighed heavily and chewed down prey for the both of them.

Somehow, the prey brought their strength back and allowed them to survive and overcome the thick sickness heavily crowding them. Coppercoyote and Peachcrown only survived because of the prey they had eaten.

Prompt: Acaciaspark couldn't live without the sun. It was the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes as a kit, and he plans on it being the last. His favorite activity for as long as he can remember has been sun bathing. The way the rays of light hit his pelt and warm his tummy just make him so happy.

Prompt: Horsestrike cant seem to live without a horse shoe she brought from her old home at a barn to the clan. Not only does she link it’s lucky, it reminds her of her friend back where she was born. She was a cat who often chased rodents around and she often spent time doing so in the horse stables. There she made friends with a filly when she was a little kitten. They grew up together and she kept the little filly safe from the scary rats. Though sadly during a changing session of the horse’s shoes when she was older, said horse got hit with heatstroke. The she cat managed to steal one of the old shoes her friend used to wear before setting off a day or so later with it to start anew. The barn hurt now without her best friend there but at least she’ll always have the shoe with her. The clan even named her after these said horses due to how attached she seemed to be to the animal.
