Gender: afab
Rank: Guardian
Clan: xAge: 29 moons
Prompt:
A swish of the bushes caused her eyes to flutter open, a sound like whispers in the dark. But all was silent now as she turned her head both ways, examining the darkened cave before her. The others were asleep around her, their pelts gently rising and falling as the crisp night air filled their lungs.
Fawnlily rose to her paws, as quiet as the moon as she moved out of her den, and into the starlight. The hole in the thorn barrier seemed slightly disturbed, the tendrils still swaying as if a heavy breeze had rustled them. A faint scent of a cat hung in the air, leading her towards the barrier. Her silver pelt glistened from the moon above, effortlessly escaping the safety of home to exit through the barrier.
A whisper, an exhale, a breeze. A sound rustled ahead of her, Fawnlily’s ears perking in curiosity. Her soft pawsteps lead her along the side of the mountain, he paws falling across cold stones and dew-laden mountain grass. The scent continued to fill her, it was so sweet, delightful, but also held a coldness, as cold as a frosty morning. An icy chill, that was almost refreshing. She took no caution other than remaining silent, speeding up her paws, in an attempt to keep up with the scent.
The trail began to move up towards the peaks that held caves of bears, mountain lions, and wolves. But there was no scent of danger, only the refreshing scent of whoever was ahead of her, leaving behind the faintest bits of color fused within the air, only visible when taken in through the nose.
Her lungs became cold as her paws reached a mountain peak. A soft glow echoed ahead of her, a sweet scent of a summer mountain breeze running across her pelt. An image stood before her. A soft gray cat, her eyes shimmering of blue, her pelt as lively as the twinkling stars above her. Her tail was soft and wispy, grazing the small rocks beneath her paws. Her eyes seemed to glow, sending sparks of warmth through Fawnlily’s pelt. The dreamy cat turned her gaze to look at Fawnlily, her tail moving upward, seeming to paint the stars behind them. In the cold night, Fawnlily felt warm, a blush appearing beneath her pelt as the gentle cat seemed to catch her gaze. The beautiful molly took a step towards the cliff edge, turning away from Fawnlily. Fawnlily stepped forward, reaching out with her paws, in a desperate attempt to catch her. But it was too late, as the blue eyed cat leaped from the peak. Her tail gently brushed against Fawnlily’s cheek, before she disappeared altogether, becoming one with the stars. Her beauty vanished, and the land around her suddenly seemed to dim. There was no longer a sweet scent or sense of beauty in the air, but an element of awe, and desperation for more.
Her eyes jumped open, and Fawnlily leapt to her paws in a sudden act of waking. A dream. The morning was cold, but her entire being felt warm, still feeling the gentle brush of the starry cat's tail against her cheeks. But Fawnlily was still blushing, feeling the beautiful cat's presence just within reach
