Eagle Cry crept along the undergrowth along the forest's boarder, careful not to drag their tail along the fallen and rotting leaves. They hated hunting so close to the forest. It made their heart race just being near it. It wasn't that they were afraid of the forest itself- no, that would be too simple. Eagle Cry was afraid of what lurked inside. Raccoons, Foxes, owls even? Just the thought of encountering one predator made their pelt stand on end.

They continued forward, finally scenting a Squirrel. This'll be easy. In and out with prey in paw, then i can finally leave this Starclan forsaken forest!, they thought. They creep forward, Squirrel in sight. *crack!*. What was that?! They spin around, their heart pounding out of their chest. ``Show yourself! I'm not afraid!`` (yes, they were). *creak, pop, CRACK*. Eagle Cry's heart dropped. They couldn't feel their paws, they were frozen in fear. The Squirrel was far from their mind as their paws carried them out of the forest and into the safety of the meadow. They taste the air frantically, wondering what made that noise. ``fox scent!``, they hiss, running as fast as possible to came. They would warn the others, and vowed never to enter that cursed forest ever again.

Chesnutpad sat under a sandy shady tree of the ocean side forest near his clan and clenched his head with one of his paws, "Great, another migraine." He rubbed his temples and the voice kept on whispering dreadful things. 'You'll never be a true Ocean Clan warrior' 'Your a hopeless mess, Chesnutpad' 'We only talk louder...' 'And louder...' Oh wait that's Snowshell calling him! He found her and nuzzled her cheek in greeting, "Hey Snowshell!" She smiled fondly at him and licked his cheek in return, a worried expression washing over her face, "Chesnutpad... are you okay?"

Prompt: [ 154 words ] I halted my silent paw steps, swiveling my ears backward where a quiet crunching was present. I turned around, mindful of the leaves and twigs. My heart had turned ice cold. Dropping down into a hunter's crouch, I moved toward the sound, curious about its source. The noise gave no scent, which I thought was irregular. I reached my paw outward, pulling leaves away, and was met with a peculiar creature. The fear in my chest was instantly released as this thing was no threat. It chomped down on a crunchy leaf. CKCKXXKCKCXKRRRRRRRR. Ok, maybe it's a threat to my ears... I poked it with my claw, jumping backward at the sensation. It was a weird slimy tube with a shell thing on its back. It took another painfully loud bite. CKKCKXXKXXKCKCKCKCRRRRRR. I straightened up, shook off my pelt, and padded away, too disgusted with that thing to even bother with a goodbye.

Prompt: juniperbranch was attentive, all her senses were focused on any noises around as she slowly and quietly stalked through the woods on the hunt for prey. there, a mouse! and a fat one too, today must be her lucky day! she slowly creeped forwards, careful to not make any sounds that would scare the little animal away. crack! juniperbranch jolted up, her fur standing on ends as she looked around in slight panic while the mouse ran away. what was that? that wasn't her. she thought she was alone, was someone else here, an enemy? "who's there!", juniperbranch demanded to know and took in the air, but couldn't smell another cat. maybe they hid their scent with mud. something moved in a bush nearby and the warrior carefully walked towards it, jumping around it with her claws extended. the cat let out a chuckle. there sat a frog and looked at her with his big eyes. seriously, that's what she has been afraid of? "go away", she laughed a little, the clan didn't eat frogs so she won't hunt for it. juniperbranch shook her head in disbelief and turned around to go and see if she could find some other prey.
