1 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt

Mix the butter and sugar (you can heat the butter/margarine to make this easier). Add the egg and vanilla to the mixture stirring thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, mix your flour, baking soda, and salt together. Once it has been mixed well, add it to the other bowl and continue to mix until it is an equal consistency.
You can make the cookies however big you want, but they usually do best around the size of a pingpong ball then you push them down a little bit so its more flat on the pan.
Cook at 350 degrees F for 6-8 minutes.
