Vega was once known as the The Big Dipper (Ursa Major) constellation. She held great pride in being able to assist those upon earth in navigateing the northern hemisphere. The people loved her dearly, the moon noticed this however and they were anything but pleased. They already competed with the sun and right now they did not want yet another competitor. So they started to spread rumors among the other constellations that Vega was plotting against them. The more stars a constellation possess, the more powerful they will become. But in order to gain another star one must destroy an existing constellation. When the others heard of this, they rushed towards Vega. She was not prepared to face their combined strength. In the end she was thrown to earth. Forced to wander the mortal realms for centuries.

She received her scar when the combined strength of the constellations knocked her down to earth. Vega doesn't understand why they did it. But being the soft creature she is, she found herself forgiveing them. Because without them she wouldn't have discovered the joy that this realm held. She isn't only a guide anymore but a protector, comforter and a mother to those who needs a shoulder to cry on.
