Prompt: Pine! The scent of pine, for Donner, reminds him of being a calf at his mother's legs back at his old ranch. It's long since closed down by now, but he remembers the smell of the pine trees as they were cut down one by one to be made into firewood, a new one planted in the old one's place. He recalls the crunch of snow beneath his hooves and how it felt so new and strange to him, and his mother's sweet, dark eyes looking down at him through her long lashes. Luckily for Donner, his new home at Polar North is full of beautiful, thick, full pine trees that spread their wonderful scent across the hills, the smell helping him fall asleep on otherwise sleepless nights and reminding him of being a 'kid' again.

That’s what Aster loves. It was his first winter, the frosted morning had a certain smell he couldn’t pinpoint. It’s as if he could smell the snow.
.. and cider. God how much Aster loves a warm jug of cider. As a kid, he was given warm cider every Christmas season by the humans that lived near his own home. Those humans are long gone now.. It always reminded him of a big warm hug, a muzzle from his ma. The smell always makes him feel fuzzy inside, and makes Aster sigh about the good old days, when he was protected by others and didn’t have to look after himself.
A nice warm cup of cider.. a big ol’ hug..

Moose’s most nostalgic scent is that of scented pine cones - the ones that little old ladies buy in bulk around the holiday season, scented like cinnamon and warm spices. The village he grew up near almost always had these outside of every doorstep each time the snow fell and the weather began to get colder. His favorite time of the winter season was to teeter on thin legs through the heavy snowfall just to peer over the hillside down at the sparkling lights and white-capped cottages below, the warm smell of spices greeting him and the beckoning call of newborn calves asking him to play.

Cutting down a holiday tree and stringing it up with ornaments. He had always got together since he was small and helped with the process. t always makes him feel warm on the inside when he searches for the perfect tree! The sticky sap and the smell of pine makes him feel like a little kid.
His favorite Christmas movie is the grizwolds Christmas because of how big the tree they cut down was really big, and thought it was funny when the tree was too big to fit in the house.

when he was a little calf during his first christmas the first smell he smelled was cinnamon, so he followed the scent and found warm cinnamon cookies, so i tried them and fell in love. to this day when he smells cinnamon he follows the scent.

A smell that takes Klondike back to his younger years would be the smell of freshly baked sugar cookies. He was found just before Christmas by a family who owned a farm. On Christmas Eve, the little girl that was apart of the family who took him in to nurse him back to health managed to convince her parents to let Klondike come inside the house for the night. Upon entering the houss, Klondike could smell the sugar cookies and the delicious smell of the icing they'd be using to decorate the cookies with. They were baking cookies for Santa himself. But even though he was young, this smell is nostalgic to him because this was the first time in his childhood when he felt safe and secure. In a warm home with a wonderful family baking cookies for a closely approaching holiday.

Prompt: A scent that never fails to make Nava nostalgic is that of the open woods. What does open woodland smell like, you may be asking yourself? Well, it's a medley of all sorts of smells-- pine overtones, the russet earth, a distant petrichor from the last rain before the snow begins to fall, pollen and ivy, all interspersed. Nava had to leave his home forest, the place he was raised and the only home he'd known in his entire life, and has never found a forest with just the same composition since-- the smell is always slightly off, never quite exactly how he wants it to be, but anything close trips that memory for him, and brings him back to the mountainous forest that was his childhood home. He's been a wanderer ever since he left, trying to find a place that smells like home once more.
