Ferox Welsh Ponies (pron. feh-roks) are a hardy pony that originated in Wales. They have fine heads with slightly dished noses, short, muscular legs and stocky bodies. While small - averaging 12 hands - feroxes make good riding horses and are sure-footed owing to the mountains of their origin country. Ferox Welsh Ponies, their name meaning fierce, are known for their big personalities, including a streak of bravery that seems to run through the entire breed. Feroxes are strong but easily handled, making them ideal for all riders. They are frequently seen in bay, black, chestnut and grey, but many other colours have been recorded to appear in the breed, including appaloosa, paint markings and dilutions like champagne.

Marble was born blind, so he has natrually learned to navigate the world fairly well. He has actually been known to have a strange behavior- clicking. He'll make clicking noises, and it actually helps him navigate the world! When he clicks, he uses a form of echolocation to find out if there is something in front of him or not. Because of this, it is safe to ride him as long as you're careful, and he knows the environment- he's a very gentle and shy horse, and can be a bit timid, but he's obediant and easily trained. He's always been a bit shy around the other foals, and takes a bit to warm up to them. The other foals at first would avoid him because of the strange clicking noises he made, but eventually their curiousity won over their fear, and they began to try their best to become friends with him- They're very gentle with him, and will guide him and dote on him like he's a fragile flower. His clicking is useful, but he still has trouble keeping up with the other foals. But they always wait for him to catch up and make sure he doesn't hurt himself, the perfect picture of good friends. Overall he lives a happy life, despite his lack of sight

Bartholomew, also known as bat, was blind from birth. For a few weeks his owners had no idea he was blind, but they had noticed he would bump into stuff often. He got his name from him bumping into stuff and being "blind as a bat." They joked around and said "Well, little bartholomew is blind as a bat!" little did they know he was really blind. A week of so later they found out he actually was blind. Just like a bat he uses some sore of echo-location. He uses his senses and can "feel" stuff around him through the ground beneath him. He may be blind but he loves trail rides and adventures. He loves to go to parades and have so much fun! You would have never guessed he was blind. He has a great trust in his owners/riders because of his blindness

Competition: rasmus had quite the trouble walking around on his own, he just used his nostrils and ears to very carefully and slowly find his way. but he was soon introduced to the farm's dog aeneas, who quickly befriended the young colt and helped him walk around by either brushed against the pony's legs to guide him into one direction or to lead the way and bark to let rasmus know where he was. the two are now inseperable, rasmus trusts his friend blindly - quite literally! - and gets more and more confident in his own sense of direction around the farm, even daring to jump around in the paddock because he knows his canine friend will warn him when an obstacle gets too close.

Competition: It took Dipper a while to figure out how to navigate while on his own, but so long as he was kept in his own pasture he has figured it out and knows where everything. He flicks his hooves forward to check for fences, rocks or other potential hazards while walking and lightly puts his hooves down to check for holes. Generally he isn't left alone for long and his pasture is on the smaller side to prevent him from getting lost within his space. The estate owners are hoping that they will be able to find another pony that will bond with Dipper and happily live out in the pasture with him, possibly acting as a guide so they can be moved into a bigger pasture together. The estate has invested in an exerciser which has been perfect for Dipper to get some exercise in a familiar controlled environment. Dipper for the most part will be guided around by dedicated staff between his stall, his pasture and the exercise ring - with regular visits from the vets. When he grew more confident with his footing and navigation through trusting his pony companions and gentle footing, he joined trails and camping along the trails surrounding the estate as a pack pony. Dipper will never be ridden, but instead will carry some light baggage while attached to another horse. These rides are important for his enrichment and confidence, he has made great strides since joining the rides.

The mystery gene on this foal is called Hooded! Hooded is a white splash-like marking that usually covers the head and neck, and causes white leg markings. At maximum it covers the whole head and neck, the front legs except for the elbows, and may extend slightly into the back along the topline. This guy's expression is about the middle of what hooded can look like! At minimum, it causes minor white coronets or heels on the front legs, covers the whole face (some colour may remain on the cheek/jaw), and it always covers the ears. It affects the mane where it touches it and commonly causes blue eyes, especially if it is particularly extensive.
