This adopt is loosely inspired by a Black Halloween Snake! I took a lot of artistic creativity with the design though, so it looks more like a pottery adopt to me.

Regardless, to win this spooky kid, tell me about their plan for spooky season this year! Not everyone likes to go trick-or-treating, but maybe they do? Tell me about it!

Collar Design: something spooky or fall inspired!
Seasonal Plans:
Mildred loves fall, its filled with her favorite things. Her most favorite thing of all however, is Halloween! She loves the excitement of it and the spookyness. Her spooky season plans involves a trip to her favorite Halloween store and a pumpkin patch. At the store she purchases the scariest new decorations she can find to place all around the barn she lives in! After getting all the decorations she can carry, she heads to the barn and drops them off. Then she heads to the neighboring farm that without fail, offers an amazing array of pumpkins each year. Mildred doesnt pick just any pumpkins, she has her specific requirements that must be met for a pumpkin to get the honor of being displayed at her barn. She spends several hours at the patch, picking through pumpkins, examining them carefully and gathering a group of the best ones. Once she has her decorations and pumpkins she always grabd a delicious pumpkin spice latte and gets to work. First she sets up the decorations, making her bright red cheerful barn become a spooky haunted barn! Mildred then heads into the barn and lines up all her pumpkins. Mildred never carves her pumpkins all by herself, she always gets help from the fellow farm animal friends all filled with ideas for what to carve or paint on their pumpkins! Once her friends all gather they get to work, some friends carve spooky faces, some carve cats, bats, or ghosts, others paint spooky scenes or characters! After the usual amount of spilled pumpkin remains and knocked over jars of paint the pumpkins are completed and they all find places outside to place them. Mildred then thanks all her friends and they all enjoy the new and improved festive barn preparing themselves for the big day of the season. When Halloween finally rolls around Mildred is filled with joy, she had prepared her barn and gotten in the festive mood. The most important thing of all however was the big night. She always picks a perfect costume and purchases plenty of treats. It is always her goal to be the best barn to visit. She greatlty looks forward to seeing the frightened looks on young calves as they walk up to the barn, but then the expression of joy when they received their treats, which always makes all her spooky plans and work worth it.

Name: Maple
Collar Design: artist's choice!
Seasonal Plan: Maple plans to dress up as a ghost at the local haunted house! The farm often takes her there on Halloween, letting her dress up as a ghost and letting the children ride her. She's a very gentle cow, despite her appearance, and the children absolutely adore her! She'll pop out of a corner, letting out a ghostly wail and attempting to look very scary, only for the children to start laughing- they're absolutely fearless, in Maple's opinion. No matter what she does, they won't get scared! She's tried jumping out of corners, stumbling towards them like a zombie, and emerging from the eerie darkness like a vampire, but the children simply squeal in delight- And feed her a few pieces of candy for her hard work.

Name: Kiln | the machine that cooks the bowls
Collar Design: dark orange with a white bell
Seasonal Plans:
extra information; a jack-o'-lantern that I made last year
- I headcannon this as the one she made in the story!

Ironically, Kiln loves ceramics. She will make tons of pots and bowls just for the heck of it – and even some festive like sculptures. Last year, she made a garden gnome in the shape of Santa 0 just in time for Christmas to roll around. She had a plan this year. Each day, she would make a ceramic jack-o’-lantern – with each one a little different from the last.

Allow me to walk you through her process. First, she would need a good chunk of clay – preferably the type that she collects herself (it’s earth friendly and made of red clay – which makes the outcome a nice deep orange). She molds that into a ball, then slams it down onto a cloth covered table. Furnace’s wheel is painted a nice red, which is actually her favorite color; She turns that on, and picks the giant ball of clay up – and slams that down onto the wheel with a resounding thud! Using some slip – which is just clay and a bunch of water – she wets the clay and slowly pushes down onto the peddle that connects the wheel and makes it spin. Second, minutes, maybe even hours pass before she looks down at what she’s created.

A round bowl, that curves oh so perfectly. Carefully, she cuts it off the wheel and sets it aside. With the little piece of clay left on the wheel, she molds that into a lid for the bowl.

Of course, she must let this dry before she can even think about cutting the jack-o’-lanterns face into the bowl – so she busies herself with picking colors – glazes that will decorate the masterpiece. A deep orange here, a black and gray here. Days pass, and now it’s time to finish up the piece. Using a scalpel – she lightly traces a face – triangle eyes and a crooked smile. It’s great!

The kiln – the machine, for cooking – it heated to about five hundred degrees. The bowls take about twenty four hours to cook – and an additional twelve to cool before painting. Three days later – from start to finish – her jack-o’-lantern is complete! It’s not perfect, they never are, but it’s unique to her. It’s a fun past-time and she can share her pieces with others she loves.

Collar Design: Your choice!
Seasonal Plans:
It was an unusually cold day for late October, as Barnaby skipped his way down the road towards the tiny house where Seattle lived. He knocked twice on the wooden door, hearing shuffling from behind it before it cracked open and Seattle's face poked out. "Hey! I brought you this!" He said cheerfully, pulling a tiny white pumpkin from his pocket and holding it confidently in front of him. Seattle blushed. "Th-thank you, Barnaby," she croaked. Barnaby cocked his head to one side. "You feeling alright Sea? You sound a little under the weather." He craned his neck to see inside the house, but Seattle blocked it fully with her body, moving just enough so that she was always in his line of sight. She smiled sheepishly. "I'm feeling fine, thank you! I'm just... A tad bit busy today." Barnaby's face broke into a large grin. "Well I love helping my friends out!" He bore his way into the entryway of the little house, and his mouth dropped in shock at the sight of it. Everywhere, from ceiling to floor, in every corner and every piece of furniture, Christmas decorations hung or sat. "W...What about Halloween! We're supposed to go trick-or-treating tonight!" he gasped. Seattle's face fell. "I still like Halloween and I still want to go, I just... I really love Christmas and I always decorate this time of year... I look forward to it..." Barnaby turned and saw how crest fallen Seattle looked, standing in her ornately decorated living room which had obviously taken her ages to complete. "Hey I... I didn't mean it like that, Seattle. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Everybody is excited about different things and it's ok that you're excited about Christmas!" Seattle bowed her head. "It's kind of embarrassing that I spend the Halloween season decorating for Christmas but it's just, what I've always done and I love the tradition." Barnaby wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Sea, I think that's awesome. As long as you'll still come trick-or-treating with me, I'd be happy to help you decorate the other half of that Christmas tree!"

And so it went, from that time on Barnaby came every year the day of trick-or-treating to help Seattle decorate her Christmas tree. Just because someone's traditions are different than yours, and sometime they may seem strange, doesn't mean that they aren't normal. They just do things a little differently and that's ok!
