(I haven't actually got a romantic interest of her in mind so this is an anonymous lion I describe)Gwenivere was considered by her family, a Hopeless Romantic. She had heard stories of love and romance, the Princess gets saved by the knight, the Dragon gets saved by the Princess, the forbidden lovers meet out under the stars in secret. It rung deep within her, a story she could only dream of having herself.
In the privacy of her room, she would recite romantic poetry and stories to herself as she lay on her back in a dreamy state. Sometimes she would hold one sided conversations with herself, "Oh Gwenivere, I have awaited all day to hold you again. My duties keep me away, but I always come back as fast as possible to you," she lowered her voice as much as she could in imitation of this anonymous dream husband,
"Oh how I wait all day for you to return to me, my love!" she sighed in content, "I am glad we have these little moments to ourselves."
Needless to say, it was quite embarrassing and frustrating when her family walked in unannounced and interrupted her roleplay or jeered at her for such childish behaviour.
So, as soon as she could, Gwenivere decided she would leave her home behind and go searching. She would find her true love, no matter where they were in time and space. There wasn't much of a goodbye, being too excited to leave, so she began Time Walking - though more like time running - and searched for her soulmate.
Her first stop was a planet of just pure rock. There was no flora anywhere and it was quite dark and cold. It definitely wasn't the most romantic of locations, but if her soulmate was here then she wouldn't complain...
Well, it was decided that true love wasn't available here, she had decided as a clan of odd and aggressive rock creatures chased her through deep crags.
She tried the next couple of planets to no avail. It seemed romance brewed very rarely in these places she had the misfortune to find.
Her spirit had cracked a little. Gwenivere felt tired and hopeless; her soulmate was nowhere to be found, it was the thing she wanted most in the world and yet she could not have it.
With hesitation, she headed to another world, focusing on a beautiful oasis - she found herself in desert plains. It was warm, but not too hot, and the landscape around was very varied. It would probably have made a nice place to live, what with the different climates within travelling distance to explore.
Heavy paws kept trudging through the dry grass and red sands, until she reached a large rift in the ground - and a beautiful sight to her vision.
A lion, silky fur, smiling and laughing with the a few others around them; they looked joyful and a great person to be around, and Gwenivere couldn't help the attraction she felt deep in her stomach.
Their eyes met, locked; they smiled softly in slight confusion. She smiled back.

Being born with the gift to travel wherever one would like, is something to be treasured and appreciated. It was an abnormality that you would want to make the most of, which is why Belacane had decided to leave home. Though, truth be told, she was quite worried to leave.
Although she had inherited these abilities from her parents, she had never used them before and worried of getting lost in some scary world that she couldn't escape from, or going too far and forgetting where her original home was.
She choked down the doubt, smiling at her mother and father reassuringly before taking off. She had no real idea what to expect; having never Time Walked before, she was in awe when she ran. Swiftly, airily with no weight to her, Belacane ran through an endless tunnel; interwoven threads twisting and creating the appearance of a galaxy on all sides, the stars on her pelt shimmering as she travelled. Through the walls of this tunnel she saw different realms, worlds and times of all possibilities.
Though not entirely sure where she wanted to go, some things did start to stand out to her. It was some sort of abnormality, a complete lack of anything and these anomalies seemed to be spread across a select part of time.
Belacane definitely wasn't aiming originally to explore anything unusual such as that, but it drew her interest, and she had all the time in the universe to go wherever she wanted.
So, she broke off from the stretching path ahead and turned to practically throw herself at the wall of the time tunnel.
Warping around her, the galaxy look of her Time Walking changed to an orange landscape, relatively flat; sand and dry grass. She landed, the stars on her pelt dimming. Her eyes were immediately drawn to the anomaly she had noticed before, it was shimmering and twisting, it looked almost like how you would imagine a portal, but instead the void was filled with shards of some crystalline substance.
Behind the portal, a patrol of lions stood in a defensive position. Ah.
She introduced herself quickly to dissipate the tension, explaining "I have an ability to travel through time and space, I noticed an abnormality in time and decided to come take a look, I mean no harm."
They seemed sceptical, that was a definite. She was guided back to their home to meet the founder of their pride, though she wasn't too worried. Though concerned, they seemed to be a friendly group.
"You say you are able to travel to different galaxies?" The striped lion asked her, "I... have never heard of this before, but I am intrigued. Please feel free to stay here a while before you leave. Though if you can help with these anomalies that have been appearing, we would be very grateful."
Belacane definitely could help, her abilities would be useful to them. She supposed she could stay for now at least.
