I'm releasing this design to the community instead of selfishly hoarding them for myself lol

Niel opened the front door with a sigh, setting down his bags and collapsing on the couch. It was eerily silent, but his little moment of joy was broken when he heard shouting from the other room. There they go again.

His parents were always fighting, regardless of whether or not the topic was even relevant to their own lives, there was something to argue about.

Niel pulled his phone out from his pocket and yawned, getting off the couch and entering his room.

From there, he scrolled through youtube, watching random videos for a few hours.
When will they stop? he wondered, snarling softly in the direction of the room before going back to watching videos.

A few minutes later, he came across a video. It intrigued him, and as he read the title, his face lit up,

"songs to help you calm your anxiety"

Without reading the rest, he pressed the video with haste and listened as the calming music played calming melodies in his ears.
He was honestly surprised. He hadn't been this calm in months. It's like all of his worries washed away, now a thing of the past.

He scrolled down to the comments and was almost attacked with positive comments, reassuring messages, and just things that made him feel better, which brightened his week. He hadn't heard anything like this before, nobody had ever stopped to compliment him, or tell him that he's worth it. He had never had any friends to keep him together or make him feel comfortable. But here? He felt almost.. safe, in a sense.

He kept scrolling, eyes almost watering from the beautiful and motivational comments that littered the comment section of the video. 30 minutes passed, and his eyelids grew heavy, the sky growing darker and darker as the time ticked slowly.

With the soft lullaby of the lofi music playing in the background, he found himself dozing off quickly.

A few weeks later, he had a playlist full of hour-long lofi music remixes.

He was asked frequently, "Why do you listen to lofi so much?", and his answer would always be,

"It keeps me together as a person. Without it, I wouldn't be as confident or cheerful as I am now."
