Manta Dogs are a hybrid of land and ocean dwelling creatures. They were
found in the coral reefs of Australia, and are native to tropical waters. A
Manta Dog typically travels in a swarm of 6 or more, with a 'job' system.
There is always a leader, their significant other, and a healer. The Manta
Dogs have shown behavior similar to wolf packs, with how they take care
of their young. Manta Dogs have shown no age limits, and some even go
to say they are eternal.

I had some fun with colours... Also, this is my first adopt on Manta Dogs <3

Prompt Answer: Riot decided to have some fun one day near the surface, and managed to coat his flippers in oil. He really loves how they took on a holographic appearance, so he kept returning to the spot every morning to do it. Eventually, he learned that he was spreading the oil around, so he decided to stop. The oil managed to trap some of the natural oils in his flippers, giving it the appearance he has today.
