First Encounter:
7:30 p.m. It was snowing. I had just finished my shift at the Cafe downtown where I took orders and made coffee. All. Day. To make matters worse I didn’t think it was going to snow so I didn’t wear my boots and I kept getting snow in my shoes, soaking my socks. As I was trudging through the deep snow I accidentally kicked up a whole flurry of it right onto myself. If I hadn’t done that I probably wouldn’t have even seen him. As I leaned down to scrape most of the snow out of my shoes, I saw him, under a bench. He had burrowed down into the snow and was huddled down as far as possible. My day was already exhausting enough but he reminded me of another rabbit I used to have. He was easier to spot because of his red eyes, most people would think it’s creepy for a rabbit to have red eyes but I personally didn’t mind them, I sort of liked them. He just looked miserable. I slowly reached out to him to pick him up and unlike most rabbits he didn’t move, he was pretty cold which was strange because most Fairen are good with the cold. But, despite the no pets rule in my apartment I carefully hugged him to my chest in my fluffy winter jacket and snuck him in. Fortunately, I knew how to care for him as I mentioned I owned a rabbit before, and I decided to name him Flurry, after how I found him. I successfully hid him until my life started to look up and I moved out of the apartment and into my own house where he got to roam around. (the end)
