Prompt: Mintshadow looked around the oddly-colored forest in confusion. The trees were blue and orange, the grass was pink, the sky was green and the sun was red. Sniffing curiously at the grass, Mintshadow caught the scent of a rabbit. A rustle in the bushes drew his attention, and Mintshadow was shocked to see a bright yellow rabbit. Like, fluorescent yellow.

The rabbit met his eyes, and the bicolor had a feeling that the rabbit was looking deep into his soul, maybe right through him! The rabbit nodded, and it's nose twitched. A high pitched voice rang out from the sky, but Mintshadow had a feeling that it was actually the rabbit speaking.

"Beware the man who speaks in hands." It squeaked, and then the world turned black and white. The grass became a stone path of sorts, and Mintshadow was left facing a tall figure in a cloak, on a dog-shaped boat, in a fast-flowing river.

"Tra-la-la." The figure said. "Where to?"

Then Mintshadow woke up.

Prompt: Half Shadow opened her eyes. At least, she thought she did. They felt open even if it was just as dark as when they'd been closed. A ghostly light appeared far off, lighting up the area around it to reveal barren land. The light came closer and morphed into the shape of a cat. It was a sleek, beautiful cat of indeterminable gender. Half was so mesmerized by the cat that she was compelled to walk forward. The light spread out, revealing the whole landscape as barren. The cat stopped by a skeleton, that Half could have sworn was not previous there, and smiled. Half stopped, off-put by this cat that was smiling at a skeleton. The cat then shrank to the size of a kit, three orbs coming out of it and also being kits. They all put their noses against the skeleton and pulled back. As they did so, another cat, ghostly and this time clearly female, came out of the skeleton. The kits then walked her back to the horizon and disappeared.

Nightfrost woke up to a neon green sky, purple grass, pink trees, and blue birds. She looked around, amazed at everything. What had happened to the forest? She shrugged it off, and started bounding down a path, her paws light.
Soon enough she skidded to a halt as she almost ran into a.. goat? It was giant, but when it turned to stare at her it had Birdstar's head? Confused, Nightfrost tried to walk around it, but the Birdstar-goat chirped at her and shoved her aside. Nightfrost was dazed, and fell down when she tried to stand up.
"Don't worry, NightieFrostieGreenieFruitie, I'll fix you right up!"
Then she passed out and woke up in her nest.

Flying? No, definitely not. They had felt what it was like to fly in other dreams, the gentle and somehow imaginary breeze blowing through their fur. This was different, not as... free. Something felt weird about this dream - they were so used to feeling the freedom that normally came with sleep, of the feeling of peace, the feeling of getting away from everything.

This time, Laureldawn felt trapped. Suffocated by whatever their dream had imagined around them.

It took them a while to understand, to truly see what the dream wanted them to see. They weren't flying, not at all - no, they were swimming. The initial hatred towards whatever this feeling was subsided bit by bit as Laureldawn allowed themself to truly see with the dream. The blues and greens of the water, the strange looking plants their mind thought of that lived in the sea. Even the smell was unfamiliar, yet somehow... refreshing. Brightly colored fish they had never seen before in real life drifted by their face, paying no mind to the cat. Some seemed to... smile?

Laureldawn felt themself wanting to wake up, despite the fact that the original panic had ebbed away. They wanted to go back to flight, to the wind, to the birds... and stay far away from any kind of smiling fish every again. It was a dream that Laureldawn was very happy to say they had never had again.
