the sun was hidden from the heavy
clouds on this dreadful day. freya
didn't get the promotion that she
was hoping for. all those years
working at the amusement park, she
would've thought her boss would
see her potential but it didn't
happen.

just when freya thought the day
couldn't get any worse, it began
to pour heavy rain. just great, she
thought to herself, what's next?

luckily freya never leaves home without
her bag which holds her umbrella. she
popped it open with a sigh of relief with
at least one of her worries taken care of
and out of the way.

a whimper stopped her in her tracks as it
caught her attention. freya didn't know
where it was coming from while glancing
around the area. she took a few steps
forward and peered around the corner to
spot a dog cowering from the rain.

a sigh escaped her lips before a small smile
formed. freya knew what to do as she lowered
her umbrella to prop it up for the lone dog.

maybe this day wasn't so bad after all.
