Owner: LemonBunny
Show Name: Walter's Pride And Joy
Barn Name: Buddy
Gender: Stallion
Age: 4 Years
Height: 16.0 HH
Discipline: Classical
Competition: Buddy greatly resembles a horse that Hailey had when she was little, the very horse that inspired her to take riding classes and educate herself on horses. Her old horse's name was Beau, and was her best friend for many years, given to her family by a man named Walter, a friend of her dad's who bred horses. Hailey couldn't help but be taken aback by the resemblance, and wanted to welcome Buddy to her little patch of Polar North. When Buddy arrived, he was very timid, having never been around some of the animals at PN, especially the larger dogs like Willow. Over the course of a few weeks, Buddy would try to bolt away a few times, especially from the loud noises around Polar North, but he would gradually grow accustomed and even enjoy the company of other animals. Buddy adjusted wonderfully, and grew confident in his surroundings and abilities. His personality became energetic, friendly and silly, somewhat different than Beau, who was more reserved and calm, though Hailey loves Buddy still. Hailey would then later show Walter in person, her new horse, and the two chatted for a while about Beau, his lineage and how his grandchildren were doing, reconnecting the old friends. While Buddy is now a very energetic horse, he still has his lazy days and particularly enjoys lounging around in the sunlight and slow trail rides where he can take his time. He does, however, absolutely despise being groomed-- especially getting wet, and will do anything he can to avoid bath time.
