Moonie loves to run in the wet sand on the beaches. Specifically, right when the sun sets. She lives in a nice beach house, and often helps clean up the beach.

This specific night was different. "It seems like a lovely day for a run.. something's off, though." Moonie shrugged it off, and walked down to the wet sand. She dug her paws in, feeling the cold, wet sand. She started walking in the water, she never swam in the ocean at this time. "well... it could feel nice" To her surprise, it was warm. Shocked, Moonie walked a bit deeper. Once she started to have to swim, she got out of the water, and sat on a mossy rock in the water.
As she gazed off she felt something on her tail. SHe snapped out of her endless spacing out, and looked down at her tail. I was in the water. She slowly lifted her tail up. "What the-" AN octopus decided to hand onto her tail. Once she processed tat, she panicked. Moonie screamed a bit in shock. Suddenly, seagull flew down and started pecking at the octopus. Moonie was confused, she's never seen a seagull have such behavior to an octopus. Moonie started panicking more, and got up. She started spinning around, attempted to get the octopus off. At the point, the seagull started to fly away. "Oh thank gosh" she thought. Nope. The seagull dove down, hitting Moonie on the side. She fell on the water. It ended up scaring the seagull and the octopus away. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes. It was a huge coal reef! She was amazed by this. After she ran out of breath, she swam back up to the rock.

Moonie had enough for that night. She walked back to her house, and washed off. She fell asleep earlier than usual. The next morning, she was awoken by a knock at her door. She answered the door.
"Hello?" Moonie asked, not looking who was there. It was her next door neighbor, Bob ( idk random name but oh well )
"Hi Moonie. Are you ok?" Bob handed her a freshly baked coffee cake
"Ok?" Moonie asked "why do you ask..?"
"You know.. after last night" Bob tilted his head.
Moonie had a startled look on her face. "You.. saw me?"
"what?" Bob said, confused. "No no no, I'm talking about the boat that crashed last night! It was pretty close tp the dock"
that's when it hit Moonie. that rock was buy the dock... it was too dark to see when she got out of the water.. did it crash after she fell in? "Oh! yea, I'm fine!" Moonie knew she had to check on the coral reef she found that night.
"Um.. I'm going to go see if the reef is ok." Before bob could say bye, Moonie ran off to the rock, and jumped it. The reef was fine, to her relief. When moonie ate her coffee cake later that night, she though what would have happened if she didn't fall in. From then on, Moonie would sit at that rock every night. Eventually, moone got her pert piercing. her first earing was one her friend made. It was a beach, and Moonie would put it on everyday.

Ok, I know this was chaos.. but it was fun to write! Thank you for this opportunity!

so that was how he ended up getting a piercing on his wrist. probably not the ideal first piercing, but hey, he wasn't going to seem like a coward in front of his older brother, was he now? sure, maybe one or two people would be disappointed in his very first piercing, but he could care less. he had wanted to do it, so he was going to follow through with it.

the room went silent, before kash and his friends began to cheer.

kash got his first piercing as a dare from a wild game of truth or dare. every since, he's gotten more and more piercings, loving the fact that he can express himself through body jewelry.

“I’ve noticed you seem to really like the snakes here a lot, not that there’s anything wrong with that! However, when you first came in I’d thought you’d gravitate towards the parrots,” the younger kalon pointed out. “For someone that’s bright as you, you sure have a lot of surprises.”

“Ah, I used to raise pet birds back then. I even got piercings done in their memory” Sean replied, shrugging as he carefully put away materials back on their shelves. “They’re great, but lately I haven’t been feeling it. I don’t know... but I need a change.”

Sean had been lucky to even get the job in the first place, whereas his rather complicated history led him little luck with anywhere else, combined with the many piercings he did back then. Truthfully, he didn’t think he would be working at a animal rehabilitation center after his career failed to take off. He liked animals, however it wasn’t his original plan.

His new coworker was definitely interested in his history though.

“So you were in band?! What was that like? Was it a good experience?”

“I do have nostalgia for those days, but I’d rather not go back,” Sean paused, distinctly remembering those times. Truthfully, he was reckless and wild back then, but eventually things went sour and it all went downhill. “I’ve cut ties with them, but I haven’t left everything behind. We had matching piercings, but I’ve modified them since then,” Sean sighed as he explained.

“I’m sorry about that,” they apologized, “I still really like those piercings though.”

“Nothing to be sorry about, buddy. I do still really like those ones too, and if there’s one thing I’m not letting them ruin it for me” he explained as he cleaned. “It’s just life sometimes, whether we like or not. Y’know, before I got here I used to think snakes were scary, but it’s definitely not the case now.”

“They’re big friendly spaghetti noodles.”

“Exactly, they’re a lot more gentle than I thought. A lot of folks don’t give them a chance, and that’s really a shame,” Sean replied. “I think it’s almost time to close up shop soon, we should get going on that.”

“Hey, remember our conversation a few weeks ago? Well, I kind of have some help I need with” as they peeked into the room.

“Sure thing. What do you need?” Sean asked as he was tucking away some materials.

“Well, I’ve been meaning to actually get piercings for a while now, the only thing that’s preventing it is that I don’t really know any good places. It just seems that you would know, since you have a lot of cool piercings on you. I’m not sure if they’ll look good on me, “ they anxiously answered, “You know a lot about them, could you help me with it?”

“Of course! Honestly, I’d think they’d look great on you. I know a place that does a wonderful job. Actually, we could both get piercings there.”

“Wait, really?”

“Yeah, we could both go after work. I suppose one more piercing couldn’t hurt.”

In truth, his piercings documented Sean’s life rather well, both his high and low points. But now, despite everything, this new chapter was a welcome one as he found something he loved doing now. It was unexpected, but then again that was how life is. As he drove the both of them there, he had in mind the perfect thing for himself. Perhaps a ear cuff, in the shape of a snake would be a perfect fit for him...

he tried to protest when they had bought the thing, considering he preferred simpler jewelry to go with his crazy style. However despite his best efforts his best friend still bought him the thing, insisting it would look amazing on him.

The first one had been an accident. A slip by his brothers hand, the needle point had missed his nose and instead pierced his soft bottom lip. He'd always wanted piercings, but in that moment, he'd decided it was probably best to get them professionally done. Not by an inexperienced boy with a sterilized paperclip. Made for a great story though.

The most obvious one to do next was the other side of his bottom lip, to finish the snakebite look. It took two years to get this one done, after so long of putting it off by remembering the first experience, but he'd always loved the look. It was a look that he and his brother shared, and he liked that the matching piercings gave them more of a connection.

Next was the nose. A stud at first, but there was something about it that didn't feel right, so he switched to a ring. He liked being able to move it around in his fingers, to give his often idle hands something to focus on. But he felt like he wanted to more with this one, to enhance the look somehow, and that led to the first ear piercing.

The chain. Oh, how he loved the chain. It was something different, something unusual. It connected one part of himself to the other. It wasn't something you often saw, but it had been love at first sight to him. There was something about how unique it was that really enticed him to try it out himself, and he's never regretted it once. Even if it does get tangled in his hair sometimes.

His ears were the next focus. Why just stop at one extra piercing? Why not four? It gave him more options, more ways to customize the way he looked. Four single studs. Two studs and one bar. Two bars. The four, for him, was a casual look. Two studs, one bar was more of a statement in his eyes. Asymmetrical, and very cool to look at. Two bars meant he was in 'ladder mode' - his code for saying that he was climbing towards something. Giving them a meaning helps to put himself in the mindset that he has a goal to complete. It could be studying or finishing a paper, or something small, like picking up more milk from the corner store. Whatever it is, it let's people - and himself - knows he's on a mission.

The gauge was a standard, 'logical' thing to get. It fit his aesthetic perfectly and, if he decided he no longer wanted it, it was small enough to close itself back up. What was really unusual was the chest piercings. How many people did you know what piercings in their chest? Absolutely this unique style appealed to him. They were a bold statement, and he'd thought on them for over a year before deciding to get them done.

The star was...technically not a piercing. More of a wraparound shell that fit snugly against the back of his ear. Custom shaped to mimic his markings, the star acts as a decorative piece, and helps to add to his identity and individuality.

Everything was black, of course it was. Black studs, black rings, black chain; black metal. It gave such a good contrast against his pale fur and bright hair. He didn't want his piercings to blend in; what would be the point? No, if these piercings were representing his personality, then he wanted his personality to make a statement. As the saying goes, why fit in when you can stand out?

Eli walked down a path alone to her university alone, she was sobbing
her parents had just called her a name for dying her hair. and she knew
kids at her school would bully her, emotionally and physically. She knew
she was an adult but she was hurt. She only had one other in her life and
he was called astral. Astral was kind towards Eli and loved her. Eli never
understood why. Ever since she was young Eli was interested in hair dye
and piercings. She wanted one badly, but didn’t have enough to pay for
the ones she wanted. One was a pokeball, another one was a arrow, and
the last one was just a simple hoop earring. Astral was wealthy and was
always asking if she needed money, but she didn’t want it to seem like she
liked him only for that. It was only her that liked him, a lot of other girls
liked him. She knew her shot would miss the hoop for him. But, she didn’t
know she was wrong about that. After she decided she couldn’t go to school
on that chilly beautiful dawn morning, she ran to the pink blossom tree.
she sat under it shivering and crying. Then she felt a hand and a warm blanket
behind her,it was Astral ! “what are you doing here, I wanted to give you something..”
“I can’t....go to university today astral....” she stumbled as she cried even more.
People say my name means shining light but it really means spreading darkness!”
“Eli... Your my shining light! Do you understand?” He said as he almost let a tear
slipped. “Astral....I’m sorry...” she whisper as the wind blew her hair into the sky.
he gave a sigh, “Its ok...” he said as they sat there watching the morning sun and
the doves circling the sky. “I’ll be here with you” he said as he quickly gave her
a kiss on the cheek and put something in her ear. At first she though he was pinching
her so she screamed and told him that hurts, but it really was that he was putting in a
piercing for her. She looked at her ear. “Astral-“ “I love you...Eli you are my shining light”
Eli cried tears of happiness and hugged astral. “And your my Astral galaxy” she said
as the petals from the tree flew around them, it suddenly got a lot warmer.
