my family owns a small (but in our opinion popular) ramen shop. yes, it's tiny, but the ramen is high
quality and likely the best in our neighborhood. the prices are low, but we manage with tips and
my part time job. when i'm not busy, i help out my parents at the shop. it's a great life, really, but it's
also very busy- my time management is pro-level if you ask me.
"coming momma! let me just finish this real quick!" i holler back, moving the puzzles pieces back to their
places and getting up. there's no reply, which means that more customers probably came in. i rush out to
the front and get my apron and name tag on, no time to waste!
"ah, hello ms. ying, how have you been? just the regular?" i smile, getting the dishes set up at their table.
"yes dearie," she pats my head, "just the regular sounds wonderful." ms.ying sits down with her children.
i nod and pad towards the kitchen, ruffling my hair back into place.
gosh, i really love this place.
