They are tameable with proper handling, and bond to only one person in their lifetime. Because of their large size, Perytons are able to ridden. However, riders should always exercise caution among these creatures, as even the tamed ones can be extremely dangerous.

Horus and Beau are a pair of unlikely friends. A snake a a Peryton? Who ever heard of such a pair? Many would think they’d kill or attack the other. However, the two get along just fine. The two are always seen together. Beau would spent majority of his time slithering or resting somewhere on Horus but his favourite resting spot would be him gently wrapping himself at the base of Horus’s neck. It is truly a sight to see when Horus takes flight and seeing a ball python just casually wrapped around his neck without a care in the world. On the other hand, Horus would groom Beau every now and then. When Horus is relaxing and Beau is within reach, he would start grooming and licking Beau while the python would just lay there and stay still.
