On an early morning escapade you stumble groggily into the library, most likely seeking out information for a project you're working on, but instead you come across a large hardcover book left opened on a table. No one else is in sight and it looks like it was merely left there by the last reader. Yet something about the book calls to you. As you walk forward you notice it's old and fragile, the cover fraying and the papers withered from time. Looking around to verify you're the only one there, you sit down and start to read the passages laid out before you.
There's an old tale about an ancient battle that shook the stars. It spanned a millennia and caused many rifts throughout the known universe. The main combatants, those who started the war in the first place, moved against each other as two forces. The Cyborgs and the Aliens. One sought technological advances that would bring their people to new heights and be able to thrive on more planets by altering their atmospheres. The other believed in harboring the natural state of the universe and safe keeping the planets and their species to grow steadily with purpose. Perhaps some within the ranks felt otherwise and just longed for taste of battle. Nevertheless over the years these opinions turned to conflict, and from diplomatic failures that conflict sparked the beginning to an end. Only one side would come out victorious, and from the fighting arose a hero.
It sounded interesting enough so you decide to flip to the next pages only to find them... well, mostly blank. The only sentence found was in big bold letters on the center of the page reading: "Create Your Hero"
Beyond that page were notes that looked like they were written in by others. It appears people had taken the empty pages to finish the story with their own interpretations of a hero. Some good of heart and others more like villains. As you read through the various writing of others you feel compelled to add your own ending. Beside you is an old fashioned quill which you're almost certain wasn't there when you sit down. Yet you pick it up, turn to the next empty page, and start writing.

Hello and welcome to the next milestone adopt of the species! I am so honored to be here with you all today in sharing in yet another momentous occasion. For this adopt we've decided we wanted to let the community pick what they want in a Design Your Own competition. This means that we'll be providing the blank lines for you to make the Legendary Kalon of your dreams. However, you must pick from one of the two featured themes and follow the guidelines provided. Most importantly this competition will not be judged based on the design, but rather the character itself through the story/personality/etc. you show us.
Below is a set of official transparent lines for the Kalon species. The design must be made from/similar this base.

Design Guidelines
— Maximum of 3 Legendary Traits; Unlimited Rare + Under
— You can either make it yourself or it can be made by someone else.
— Feel free to interpret your chosen theme in either a standard or unique way.
— Make sure to have a list of traits somewhere in your form!
Competition
— Write about the Kalon's story, personality, history, and more to give a well defined character.
Who are they? What views do they have on the war? Do they fight or provide other assistance? Who wins in the end?
These are the kinds of questions you should be thinking about when writing your form. Create your hero.
—You can define 'hero' however you choose. They don't necessarily have to be good, or bad, or neutral. They can be whoever you want them too. They could fail in the end and be more of a martyr. Maybe only history remembers them as a false hero because after all... history is told by the victors. Feel free to get creative with your interpretation.

— The form can be a separate thread/offsite
