Name: Igneous (Aka Iggy)
Gender: Male
Short story: (Tell me a short story about them)
Time comes and time goes, changing things along the way. Nothing ever stays the same, no matter how much we may wish it to be so. Though he knows this, Iggy couldn't help but try to change this course. Lifting his head towards the drifting clouds, the young viscet closed his eyes as the breeze gently caressed his face. A deep sigh left his chest as he remembered the events of the day, a day when a lot of changes had come. On that day, Igneous had to make a difficult decision, one that would impact him for the rest of his life, for better or for worse had yet to be seen. He had to choose between his heart and his head, a decision so difficult and personal it left both parts aching and pulsing with stress. You see, Iggy knew he had a future somewhere out there. No, maybe he wouldn't be as some viscets, always looking for the next best thing. Neither would he be one of those hopeless, forever lost types of viscets, wandering from place to place. Yet, he still felt confused. This world has so many options, so many possibilities in which he could choose from and though there were many choices, he still felt the weight of their expectations on his shoulders. Groaning at his traitorous mind, he quickly attempted to shake the words from his mind by shaking his head quickly. A voice from behind suddenly startled him. "Yo Iggy, what's eating you, little buddy?" He looked up from his musings to see a face he quickly recognized and instantly felt embarrassed of being caught in such a state of mind. "Hey, Boss. It's nothing to worry 'bout. Just been thinkin'." Louis tilted his head as he sat down beside the other. "Nothin? I don't think so. Anything that brings you down this bad isn't just 'nothin'." Concern caused the elders face to wrinkle slightly, though his mouth still stayed set in a kind grin. Iggy frowned at Louis' obvious concern, feeling a weight of guilt at his expense. He didn't like to make the other viscet worry. Louis had enough trouble dealing with their merry band of gang members as it was. Iggy hated to bother him with his own insignificant issues.
Once again losing track of his surroundings due to his thoughts, he was ignorant to Louis' deepening frown until he pushed the pps off the swing set he was sitting on. Sputtering at the soil entering his mouth, Iggy pushed him self off the ground to stare at Louis' grin with an exasperated look. "What was that for?" He said, feeling breathy with the surprise. Louis let out a deep laugh before responding. "You need to relax some, Iggy piggy. At this rate, you're gonna have wrinkles before I do." "Boss!" chuckling, the goat viscet pulled the child to his feet. "Come on Kiddo. The gang's waiting on us, you know how they get when you leave them alone." Pushing his doubts aside, Igneous fell into step behind the older as they stepped through the park, making their way to the old hotel in which their gang resided in. He smiled softly at the many greetings which welcomed him and Louis. "Hey, Boss!" "Welcome home, kid!" He shook his head once more, feeling Louis ruffle his head feathers before the goat viscet turned to his second in command to speak. Recognizing his dismissal, Iggy left his adopted big brother to return to his room with the other kids. "Iggy!" He looked over and smiled softly at nyx and echo, his two closest friends even though they haven't known each other for long. "Hey, buddy boy! How was your day out with the boss?" Nyx asked eagerly as he approached, echo acting nonchalant but perking her ears with interest. Iggy smiled." It was great! The boss is the coolest!" A snort escaped echo. "Of course he is. Anyone who can handle this much trouble is pretty a-ok." Iggy and Nyx nodded in synchronization. "Besides, he took us in off the streets, didn't he?" Iggy smiled fondly, remembering his own rescue from his previous reality.
He was alone for a long time, left on the streets for as long as he could remember when a golden flash caught his attention. Exhausted from hunger, it barely registered when the golden feathered, green eyed viscet lifted him gently. Now known to the child as Zephyr, the viscet carried him to the steps of the hotel where Louis found him in the morning. Alarmed at the sudden delivery, Louis quickly took the child in, despite being the feared leader of one of the largest gangs in the city. Igneous was welcomed with open arms, all members excited and ready to help the child out and, oddly enough, Iggy was too exhausted by his troubles to deny the assistance. There he made his own family, Louis becoming a brotherly figure in his life just as he had in the lives of the rest of the orphaned children who took residence there. He learned that each viscling had a story, just like him. Each viscling had gone through changes, drastic changes, and experiences which molded them to be as they were today. As he faded from his memories, he looked around to the family he had found. Seeing each viscet around, he knew that their personalities were created through the changes they've experienced, the events they've lived through. Hearing a deep bellow of laughter, he turned his head to where Louis leaned against a wall talking to some of the other kids as he entered the room. Even his boss, who he so greatly admires, has learned to change and adapt to his circumstances, and you know, maybe... if he can do it... they just maybe Iggy can accept those changes too. Besides, he quickly found that this change of scenery wasn't half as bad as he thought it would be.
