Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Hana is a florist, simple enough.
She runs a quite successful shop.
But what happens after hours?
She talks to ghosts!
She used to talk with one in specific when she was younger.
Eventually, she was able to talk a wide variety of spirits.
She still talks to her spoopy friends.

who are they ▸ They are a traveler, the mysterious newcomer to every town. They never stay for long, nor do they really talk to many aside from the quiet "thanks" uttered after a purchase. A favourite pass time for Raven, others have noted, is visiting the local libraries and looking through old books. Raven is very quiet and often times isn't noticed by the others inside the building. The fact that they never actually check out the books and instead sit and read the entire thing in one visit certainly helps keep them unnoticed. Raven also seems to have a large amount of money despite their lack of work, and even with it they don't buy much or stay somewhere fancy and expensive. Some kids in the places he stays even come up with rumors, most saying that he is some sort of spirit, wizard, or time traveler.

who are they ▸ Sierra is an outcast from her village, she was banished into the forest for something she didnt do, something she never even thought she could have been accused of... She no longer gets the luxuries of trimming her coat, hearing the birds sing in the morning or hearing the trickle of the stream as it flows by. No. Instead she has to constantly fight for the small chunk of forest she has to survive. Heartbreak. Pain. Terror. These are all merely everyday feelings for Sierra, she is broken inside yet refuses to show her weaknesses on the outside.

who are they ▸ Despite looking intimidating, Akina is actually very sweet. She's just scared to open up to anyone, in fear of being betrayed,as she was in the past. So she puts on an intimidating look, so people don't talk to her. It works, at least.

To feel less lonely, Akina spends most of her time in her garden, where she has planted many cherry trees. She finds the quite beautiful all year, even when the blossoms are gone. The red of the cherries is quite a relief after all the pink, and even the dead bush in the winter seems lovely.

Her loneliness often gets the better of her, and she gets depressed. Then that depression comes out in anger. Angry that she was betrayed. Angry that she has no friends. Angry that she doesn't let herself have friends.

Akina was a musician at one point, but never really plays anymore. Once in a while, she'll play the piano, but most of the time it just sits and gathers dust, like her guitar.
