Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Finally, this is my last adopt. I've had so much fun creating these
kalons for you. It makes me so happy to know people like how
I design and how I like to make kalons in my own way. I appreciate
all the support you've given to me. This really has been a blessing.

different world? They have no idea how long they have been asleep,
but many things have changed around them.

Shuten-dōji is not one who gives their trust so easily-- if he were to allow himself to trust anyone at all. Because of the circumstance of his existence, he is almost always in emotional and physical pain, and always bitter because of it. Nothing is ever going to be good anymore, and things are often just tolerable if barely.

Beyond that, he will never hesitate to speak his mind, often being brutally honest when asked for an opinion, although most commonly people do not ask for his opinion and he speaks it despite ( or rather in spite ) of them. His sorrow makes him rather snarky, and so he is perpetually snarky, leaving people to consider him as nothing but a rude individual ... As well as a stubborn fool when faced with any fashion of contradiction.

Shuten-dōji does not care what people think of him, and often does not take kindly when it comes to being proven wrong.

They are from no where, just as they are from everywhere.

Shuten-dōji was once the mere complex essence of the world; a concept that lived purely by the knowledge that yes, beneath a Kalon's feet was solid ground and yes, filling a Kalon's lungs was air. To be a concept than the physical was a blessing for a sweet boy, one wrapped tightly in earthen rock and bubbling magma, cradled in the center of himself to grow and flourish; with him the world flourished, the mere act of existence was joyous: where each step of spring brought beautiful golden pansies, summer was not to be feared of its heat but welcomed by the prospect of frequenting swimming holes, winter did not bring starvation to the people but the excitement if snow soaked in honeydew for a cold winters snack, and fall was a time of rest and rebirth.

In his cradle he cared not for the experiences he missed; he lived them by each laughter and bounding hop. Eventually boiling magma cooled and earthen rock turned to soft moss, and there in his cradle grew a bed for him to rest his head, and with confidence he thought to avert his eyes from himself and take a nap ( just as the small children did, just as the older kalons did ). Except concepts are never meant to sleep-- never meant to turn away from their own being for themselves, for that was an act of greed, and greed should go punished; but how was young Shuten-dōji supposed to know? With no mother besides the moss, and no father besides cooled magma ( now obsidian ); neither moss nor rock could speak to him.

Conceptual eyes were kissed sweet by the heavy lips of sleep, and there he found himself resting his head against the moss, and turning his back on a flourishing concept in favor of rest ( well deserved in his mind ).

Shuten-dōji awakes to pain. He knows not what wracks his body with violent convulsions, he knows not why he has a body; he is no longer a concept, and it is difficult to understand when his body stiffens with pains, but entirely too easy to comprehend with the weight of existence locked in place. His body is no longer sweetly wrapped in moss and rock, but rather he is the moss and rock. The patterns of his fur are not just fur; they are shifting, moving, living pieces of himself. The pain never ceases, Shuten-dōji can not close his eyes for even a blink -- a moment in darkness -- and his body threatens to collapse itself; the cracks along his fresh grow wider, thicker, threatening to leave him in pieces.

Shuten-dōji is punished for the very act of sleeping, and it is such a cruel fate of the gods that he awakes as a mortal in a world where sleep is needed.
