Markus --
Anxious - Misunderstood - Compassionate - Doubtful - Day-dreamer
His looks have always made people think ill or find him rather scary until he opens his mouth. He throw everyone off to find he is rather soft spoken and quite worried alot. He appologizes alot and is a bit emotional. For a while he doubted himself with being this way, as if he wasn't a "man". His mate and best friend Momo showed him that he is accepted just the way he is and is loved for it.
Markus is a proud father that will often take pictures or do little things for his children since he awes them dearly.

Momo --
sweet - mute by option - caring - keeps to herself - curious
Momo is the silent sweet heart, she tends to keep to herself and avoid integration due to her not speaking. She feels as though everyone looks down on her because she doesn't speak up often. Though she is very sweet once someone gets to know her. She's a caring mother, often will baby her children. She will often tell them stories, teach them about birds, or sing to them as she wants her children to know how she sounds. Her caring nature may cause her to be a little to soft on her kids even when they do wrong, as she only wants the best for them.

A rather quiet fellow whom often gets the attention of both girls and boys alike for his cool persona he holds. He doesn't always seem happy and can be considered lazy to some. There is a good reason for this though as it has to do with having anemia (A lack of iron in his blood)
Matthew is quite kind and open to those whom don't judge him prior on. He has a more disposition unlike his parents whom are often more nervous and excitable. He is close to them though and respects time dearly.

Logan -- (Bottom Right)
clever - outspoken - aloof - neat - playful
logan is a bit outspoken when it comes to his words, he enjoys letting others know how he feels about certain situations. he often does or says things that may upset others but doesn't often notice or like to say anything about it as he doesn't like to show his emotions often. he is very clever in his words to get others to believe him or do things for him, he can also be quiet playful with his siblings, often playing too rough sometimes with his brother. despite his reckless looks and the way he acts he's actually quite the neat freak, he hates being messy or when things are out of place.
logan is more of a mama's boy as he loves her dearly as well as his father. he enjoys showing off to his dad to make him proud or praise him for such things.

She groaned at the voice of Logan.
"Whyy..."
The young Kalon rolled over in her comfy bed to face away from her brother.
"'Cause we're going on a hike today! Rememberrr?"
"A hike...?"
And immediately she was up.
"Well, leggo! We've only got t'day!"
As she scrambled out of bed, she passed a small table meant especially for special purposes. On it lay a thick bandanna headband, a vase filled withe exactly seven white hibiscus flowers, and a rock. No special rock, just a rock. And as Eden passed it, the rock and headband were pocketed into her sweatshirt.
"Do you really need those, sweetheart?" Markus asked.
"'Course I do!"

Eden and Logan gallivanted through the woods, ducking under branches and leaping over roots.
"C'mon, Matthew!" she called over her shoulder.
And then she dug in her heels and shouted, "Wait! Wait wait wait wait WAIT!" Her eyes widened. "It's a...
What is that?"
"What?" Matthew asked as he approached his sister.
"N'vermind. Think I sacred it off. Let's keep going." And with that, she started off again.

A story about them and their family:

What had started as a simple jog in the park had quickly turned into a mad dash for the safety of home. Behind a curtain of silver bangs, tears welled up in Auggie's honey eyes as she burst through the front door and rocketed to her room. Throwing herself onto her bed, she struggled to process an unfamiliar feeling that totally contradicted her typical confident, brash nature. 'What was Regan doing there with her?'

Regan and Auggie were partnered up for chemistry at the beginning of the school year much to young Auggie's delight. Never one to admit it, she had been nursing a small crush on the tiger-like kalon since grade school and fate had so kindly finally brought them together. Or so she thought. Just yesterday sparks had flown as Regan stole their first kiss during their weekly study session. The stereotypical awkward teenage flirting and eventual climax was followed by a lot of giggling and a rare moment of shyness for Auggie. Regan had even asked her to the movies tomorrow night before they went their separate ways from the library.

And yet during her evening jog there Regan had been, plain as day, on a bench with an all too recognizable kalon snuggled up under his arm. Confusion, denial, realization all took their course as she had retreated. Apparently the break up he had talked so much about wasn't as permanent as he had made it seem. Just thinking about how close she had come to her fantasized fairy tale first romance made the tears flow hot and heavy.

"Oh my darling girl."

The soft voice came from the doorway that was filled with the silhouettes of her parents. Markus and Momo crossed the room to join their distressed daughter on her bed. Promptly sandwiched between the pair, Auggie could do nothing but swipe her paw across her eyes. Her gaze found her mother's expressive eyes, which were currently oozing with empathy, making her lip quiver dangerously as another round of crying threatened. Markus stroked the top of her head as she leaned into him. Silence has such an emphasize in their household- Auggie was really the only one who felt the need to constantly fill the air with words. Meaningful or not, chatter was always flying as long as she was awake enough to move her jaw. Ironically, in this instance there was nothing she appreciated more than the quiet. She didn't want to talk about what had her so upset, she wasn't up to or wanted to explain.

They didn't make her. They didn't need to. After sitting for a spell, Markus shifted as he looked down at her. "You can't control others, princess. The only person you can control is yourself."

You can only control yourself. As always her father's sparse words rang true. What happened was out of power, the only thing she could do was choose how to handle it. And she'd be darned if Augusta Mona Liesa was going to be seen moping around over any boy. Never one to stay down for long, Auggie was already well along her way of bouncing back. A smile cracked her tear-stained face as she hugged her parents. "I don't think I'll ever understand how you can say so much with so few words. Thanks Dad. Thanks Mom."

Popping up from the bed, Auggie was already in the hallway as she called over her shoulder, "I'll be back! Gotta finish my jog!" (587)

Writing Extra:

The vibrant and wild soul that is Augusta is able to thrive because of the serious support she receives from her parents and siblings. Self-assured may be one of the best ways to describe Auggie. She faces life head first with no hesitation. Confident in her abilities and resourcefulness to handle whatever situations she lands herself in, there is very little Auggie shies away. Especially with the promise of adventure, fun, and excitement just ahead.

Markus and Momo affectionately refer to Auggie as "princess." She does what she wants as she pleases. She disdains straying from her agenda, but will begrudgingly "indulge" others upon serious request. Highly competitive, there is no place but first place to Auggie. If you're not winning, you're losing, and oh boy is she a sore loser. This later in life evolves into a very cutthroat streak. She's an extreme extrovert; she draws all kinds of people in like moths to the flame that she is. Auggie talks to any ear available- willing or not. Part being she prefers thinking out loud, but mostly because of growing up in such a quiet household. Loyal to a fault, she blindly trusts those in her life that she loves. Auggie will eventually blossom into a self-proclaimed "queen" that she's bound to be. (214)
