Here's the second of the Halloween Adopts. ^^

Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

We found this babe wandering out in the woods the other night. You can imagine the scare we had when we ran into the big fella when it was pitch black out. Fortunately, our momentary fear was for naught as this dog is as friendly as can be. They quickly followed us back to the shelter with no coaxing so they obviously weren't feral. This darling seems to be blind in their left eye. As a result, try not to approach them from that side, as it makes them nervous.

For this wrinkly baby how about you tell me about a time they were misunderstood. There is no word limit but please don't go overboard.

Story: Tucker was misunderstood many times before, and taken to the shelter multiple times. When his owner was taking him for a walk he jerked on the leash and escaped to a forest, after attempting to chase a rabbit. The early day fell into night and days passed, Tucker was later found by a search team but the owner didn't want Tucker anymore because of complications. Tucker later escaped again, while the dogs were being taken to higher ground during a hurricane. He wandered about here and there, on the road, near a lake. While trekking through a forest, a hiker saw him and mistook Tucker for a bear. They ran off and called the animal control, saying they saw and unusual looking bear that looked quite wrinkly. He was eventually found and the search team said that it wasn't a bear, but a dog!

Story; Goddard had a very terrible owner who abused his mother. Goddard was born in the house with five other siblings. They were all sold and were never seen again. The man keep Goddard to keep as a hunting dog. Strange yes, but he did. Goddard was trained, but he just wasn't listening to him because he was such a terrible owner. After a few attempts trying to run away he finally made it. He had spent a few days in the forest until you guys found him.

I can understand how this sweet babe could be mistaken for a bear! Congrats on winning him. Take good care of the sweetheart.
