Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

This is the first of the spooks we happened across. We found it in our supply room. We're not really sure how it got there. It's friendly, though, if a little bit withdrawn. We found that it was in good condition when we checked it out, so it was able to go up for adoption immediately. Maybe you can get it to open up a little?

Treat: As a little treat for good behavior, Blaine loves peanut butter. He only gets a little off his owner's fingers-never any more. People say that he would love to eat Reese's Peices if he could!

treat;; "Tuna Tidbits". These tasty little cookies are made up of Tuna, cooked egg white, cornmeal and whole wheat flour. While it may not be suitable for all cats, depending on their diet, ect, Simon absolutely adores them. For Simon, they are cut into little 1 inch circles and baked at 350 F for 20 minutes. They end up like cookies, except they're a yummy and small treat for him! On Halloween, and occasionally on the lead up towards it, the Tuna Tidbits are cut into little Halloween shapes, such as pumpkins and bats. So when all the trick-or-treaters are at home eating their sweets, Simon's eating his own treats!.
ingredients;; 6 ounce can of tuna
1/4 cup water drained from tuna
3 T cooked egg white, chopped
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
method;; [i]preheat oven to 350 degrees. combine the tuna, egg white and water. then, add cornmeal and flour and blend them to form a dough. knead the dough into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch thick. cut the dough into one-inch sized pieces and then bake them at 350 F for 20 minutes. this recipe makes 12 cookies.
