what is the picture? It's a picture of his mother.
why is it precious? She's not his mother by blood, no, but that doesn't mean she's not his mother. She raised him in a small cottage the edges of a town. They were poor, yes, but they were happy. Food would get a little tight in the winter, but they always made it through.

In a move during a particularly hard winter Cyril learned how to build watches. This is the first one he built. It didn't work at first, but holding faith he kept working at it. Eventually he got it to work, and it taught him much. As he progressed in skill his watches became less and less likely to stop working, and began to work for longer without needing fixed.
