Fact: These wild cats have too many amazing facts to name just one! Here are a couple:

1. Their ears are controlled by 20 different muscles to help find prey!
2. Caracal comes from the Turkish word "karakulak" and that means "black ear"
3. Even though they aren't lynxes at all, they are known as the Persian Lynx or the African Lynx.

Cool huh? These cats are fantastic :o

Behind the name Cricket: My mum actually used to work with a Caracal named Cricket back when she worked for the West Coast Game Park Safari. Its a petting zoo :3 she said that her and Cricket had quite a bond, when she would go retrieve him for show time, he would jump up and perch on her shoulder and lick her ear. Any only to her. Every time. Though Cricket was always a great cat, the zoo sent him off as a transfer.
