a lovely pair of spider pieds!

these pythons aren't so normal, though... both carry a new gene called chimera!

chimera is caused by a mutation that makes the affected python portray more than one morph, often in patches. like all mutations [in this adoptable] it has a 1/10 chance of passing to offspring and a 1/5 chance if both parents carry it. it is incredibly rare, so these snakes are real gems!

now, as for the competition, you're going to need to find a partner. each of you will choose a python to try out for and fill out the form listed on each python's page. you will be competing as a team, and if you win, you will both receive the python you tried out for.

This is the second of the spider pied gems! As stated above, you're going to need a partner [i'd recommend looking on the fanclub or main post and messaging someone you'd like to partner with!]

Its very simple! Just pick another user to partner up with. You each pick either #25 or #26, and you create a personality for the one you chose while your partner creates a personality for the one they chose. Then you both work on describing their relationship with each other.
For example, say you choose #26, and your partner chooses #25. Then you would say #26 is very energetic, and your partner says #25 is very lazy. Then you and your partner would both say that #25 and #26 annoy each other because theyre total opposites (or something along those lines).
Does that make sense? Sorry if it was worded strangely!

Niko slithered along the ground in the fields he usually hunted, waiting for a vole or mouse to make slight trembles in the earth below him. What he felt though, was not that of a mouse or vole, nor was it a rat or squirrel. It was, in fact, another snake. He didn't like other snakes on his hunting grounds, not now, not in the past, not in the future, not ever.

The tall grass parted, revealing a chimera ball python much like himself.

"Go away, these are my fields." Niko growled aggressively. "Don't make me warn you twice."

"Well, someone is certainly a grumpy one. Goodbye!" The other snake said before turning back into the grass and leaving.

This happened many days in a row for several weeks, the other snake just not taking the hints. Perhaps he wanted to be friends, or perhaps he knew he was being outrageously annoying and wanted to see how far he could push Neiko. Niko had lashed out once or twice, never making physical contact, but getting close enough that the other snake knew he meant business. Or, should've known. The other snake was persistent though. In the past few days Neiko had learned that the snakes name was Nagi. It meant, in at least one language, calm. Nagi certainly was calm too, never flinching away from Neiko's near attacks, and always bidding Neiko goodbye with a slightly teasing tone.

Over more time it became a joke between them, Neiko still telling Nagi to leave but in a much friendlier way. Until, a strange day came along.

Just like the others Neiko felt Nagi's slithering along the ground, and soon enough Nagi's head poked out from between the tall grasses.

"Good morning Neiko." He said.

"Good morning Nagi." Neiko replied, leaving out the usual ways of saying leave.

Nagi turned to slither away, assuming Neiko hadn't gotten much sleep and forgot to add the usual farewell.

"Goodbye." Nagi called back to Neiko.

"You don't have to go you know. You can stay and hunt." Nagi was taken aback by this offer, the other snake was clearly against most company. Though Nagi took Neiko's offer.

There were still days now that Neiko would request Nagi to leave, but these became few and far between. Disappearing entirely after several months. Niko eventually warmed up to Nagi, and the two became great friends. They now meet in various fields daily, sometimes hunting and other times just chatting.
