I'm going to do something I don't normally do as well and say the reason CANNOT be in any way related to the show Miraculous Ladybug or have to do with their design being a ladybug. I'm sorry guys, but I really want to draw out creativity and I can imagine a lot of people using the show or design as an explanation, so I will not be allowing them for the competition.

You are free to use any character's name from the show, however I will outright say that it will decrease your chances of winning since you are not being creative.

Please also note, even if you don't mention in the show in your explanation but use similar ideas, then it will also decrease your chances of winning.

Why are they a ladybug?;
Harmonia has always loved ladybugs, they have always thought they were very cool. Beacuse of this, when they found an old ladybug costume in their friend's home. They were very exited and asked if they could keep it. When their friend said yes, they started wearing it everywhere. The costume is a bit worn and faded now, but they love it just the same.

why is she a ladybug? // well, poor aster's mother was very sick, and the doctors said that she might die. Her mother's favorite animal was a ladybug, so she dressed up like one to try and cheer her up.
after her mother passed away, aster was devastated. she's almost always in the costume and tries to pretend that her mother never died.

Why are they a ladybug?; Hannah is a makeup and costume artist that takes great pride in her work. She can be a little eccentric sometimes and often ends up wearing one or more of her creations. Recently, she was working on a ladybug costume but didn't realize that the glue slipped while attaching the wings. Only after trying the costume on did she notice it was stuck tight and unable to be removed again. After several minutes of freaking out and trying everything to get it back off, Hannah eventually came to terms with the fact that she was stuck like this. Possibly forever.

Why are they a ladybug?;
Well ruby actually, Ruby just loves to dress up.She finds it a fun way to brightening little kids days at her work at the children's ward at the hospital. She mostly dose insects like butterfly, Dragonfly, Firefly and her most popular costume the Ladybug. Not to mention the Ladybug is also one of her favorite insects and loves seeing them in a garden on her way to work.

Why are they a ladybug?; As embarassing as it is for him to dress up like a ladybug, Jackson does it for his little sister. Since his sister is so young, she loves bugs, especially butterflies and ladybugs. So what better way to entertain her then dress up as a ladybug and pretend to fly around? It makes her laugh, and that's what matters most to Jackson.

Why are they a ladybug?;

Aubrey is an imaginative child. She loves symbolism and the history of the world around her. Ladybugs are her favourite symbol, as they stand for luck. Aubrey’s mom works in a homeless shelter, and Aubrey has seen poor plumerians who have ‘bad luck’. Being a kind spirit, she wants to help these plumerians, but as a young child, with PPS at that, she cannot do much. In an effort to help, she donned the ladybug costume her mother made her for Halloween and happily 'flutters' around in the building, bringing luck and joy to all around her.
