•| A d v e n t u r e s of Jono & Sox |•
Jono and Sox met on a sunny day, while Jono was bathing on a rock covered in moss, one of Jono's favorite spots.
Staring off into the undergrowth with half-lid eyes a soft sigh escaped the resting fox. His limbs felt heavy from the heated weight of the sun's rays, leaving him both motionless and relaxed. "Hm.." Lifting his head slowly at the sound of leaves rustling nearby he flicked an ear, green eyes narrowing in on the source. "Hello?" he called warily, watching the bush with a careful gaze.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude." A quiet voice answered after a few moments from within their leafy cover.
"Who are you?" Jono implored, slowly sitting himself up on the rock in hopes of getting a better look at the stranger. "I don't know any scent like yours." he admitted, a bit foolish in his confession.
"Sox." the stranger replied, their voice louder but still of a timid nature.
"Can't you come out and introduce yourself? You can't sit around in bushes your whole life now can ya?" Jono huffed as he perked both ears, his tail draping over his front paws. "I'm not going to hurt you if that's what you think."
"Of course not." Sox mumbled, peeking his furry head out from around the bush to show himself. "I didn't know if I would be welcomed is all." taking a few steps towards the larger creature he stopped, hesitant in coming any closer.
"I see.." a little indignant towards Sox's careful attitude Jono gave a subtle roll of his eyes. "Just because I'm a fox that makes me vicious?" he questioned, a hint of annoyance in his tone, putting Sox on edge from the sudden shift in his demeanor.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you..but you can't really blame me, right?" Sox replied quietly, lowering his gaze to his paws, readily avoiding eye contact. Noticing the red panda withdrawing himself Jono stood to his paws, his head tilting to the side questioningly.
"I didn't say I was angry or anything, I was just saying you really shouldn't go around making assumptions." Jono sighed out, taking a paw off of his rock to step down into the soft grass. "So Sox, what brings you here? Can't lie and say you're not the first I've seen around this area..I always thought others just abandoned the place." he shrugged his shoulders a little as he spoke, his eyes settling on the small creature.
"I'm just passing through, but then I saw you laying on this rock..but you heard me so I couldn't go by silently." the red panda explained with a sheepish snort, his head lifting to meet the fox's gaze. He was still on edge, and his skin prickled under his gaze, but the tension seemed significantly less suffocating.
"Silently? Not with your loud paws clomping all over the place." Jono snorted, a lazy smirk pulling at his lips when watching Sox's red fur raise from embarrassment.
"I'm not that loud!" Sox argued, lowering his ears against his head as he moved a little closer towards the fox. "Compared to you anyways, I'm sure you make lots of noise."
"Perhaps, perhaps not.." Jono chuckled, the sound rumbling low in his chest. "You said you were passing through right? Where to? If I'm allowed to ask."
"Anywhere I guess..I don't really--" he faltered. "have a place in mind.." Sox looked down again and pawed at the grass, distracting himself from the unwanted feelings that threatened to resurface.
"Oo, a wanderer, how thrilling." Jono cooed playfully, though his smirk began to fade at the change in Sox's tone. "Hey now, if you don't have anywhere to go, and nobody to meet, why don't you just come with me?" a little hopeful in regards to his own loneliness that tugged at him from time to time he couldn't help but to wish for a friend. Sox eyed the fox for a few moments before giving a slow, confirming nod.
"Alright, but..where exactly are we going?"
"I dunno really, I just go from one place to the next, never settling." turning away to pad towards the bushes he jerked his head for Sox to follow, already hearing the soft paw steps behind him.
"Name's Jono by the way."

|Jono's Bio|
Jono is a laid back Woodland Fox who very much tries to go with the flow of things.
While he will stand up for what he feels is right, and will never back down from a fight, he would prefer avoiding physical altercations. His humor can be considered a bit edgy with a biting side to it, which makes others very cynical of him and he is often judged unfairly and from afar.
Jono doesn't always make the greatest first impressions and he can rub some the wrong way but deep down he has good intentions and wishes for a select few to truly understand him. Quality over quantity in regards to those he keeps close.
Personality Summary: Quirky, laid back, often eccentric, lacks regard for his personal safety, adventurous, daring, compassionate, a big softy deep down. ♥
