GPE #116: Black

Postby Schainukan » Thu Jul 23, 2015 9:48 am

What is a Great Plains Equine?:
The GPE are a special breed of horse. They are large and sturdy breed, suited best for working a farm and pulling carts. They also were once used as war horses during the war between the Mountain and Forest kingdoms. GPE stand at 13-17 hands, though are most commonly ranging at around 15-16 hands. Their coats are sleek and soft, the colors and patterns are too varied to even list, though they are most commonly found with a 'paint' style coat. Their manes and tails are long and flowing, their hooves heavily feathers and nearly fully concealed. GPE's have long beards under their chins, both male and female, and have a pair of horns that sweep backwards along their necks. Their eyes range in any color of the full spectrum, and produce a glow that resembles smoke, or possibly flames. They are docile beasts, but are not easily tamed.

Tell me a bad story they influenced/where the cause of.
They also are special for not having any paint pattern.

GPE name: DH Yoshima: Scourge of the Vast Forest
Gender: Stallion
Horn Style: Unicorn (Very rare)
Height: 16.1hh
Story: War was all the colt knew. He was bred for it. Trained his entire life. Hardened. He had to have a sharp mind, and a fearless demeanor. He had no fight or flight instinct anymore. It was nothing but fight. Every day he listened from his stall as the soldiers trained outside. The sounds of their battle cries, yelps of pain, their roars and their hisses. The sound of the swords hitting their armor. But this was only the first step. He would need to be broken still, and his armor fitted to his now mature body.

They worked him hard, building his muscles through vigorous exercises, much as every steed before him. He donned his armor all day, though his spirit was strong and he protested the feeling of the metal rubbing his flanks. A fire burned deep in his heart, they knew this. They would mold it. Forge it into a weapon against their enemy. He would now have to be fully desensitized against the ravages of war. The dulled swords bounced off his armor, clanking and rattling it. He would buck and he would kick, but it only fueled his anger, for he knew now fear. He would be ready, and he would be feared.

The soldier upon his back steered him into the fray, the mighty beast emitting a shrill whinny, echoing across the battlefield. He reared up, kicking at the opposing forces before him as his rider lashed out. He fought like a cornered demon, his rider falling in battle, but yet Yoshima fought on.

The battle was over, the Dragon Mountains retreating further into their homelands, pushed back by the invading Kingdom of the Vast Forest. The black steed had brought them victory today, standing proud over the bodies of those he'd crushed beneath his hooves. The Tyrant king had won today's battle, and Yoshima would forever be known as The Scourge of the Vast Forest.

GPE name: Darkness My Old Friend (Darkness)
Gender: Stallion
Horn Style: Unicorn (Very rare)
Height: 16.1hh
Story: Darkness' father was the leader of the whole herd. Notice how i said was? Well, he became corrupted with power and anger and ended up trying to take over the rivaling herd too, with his son at his heel. Darkness loved his father- as his mother passed away during birth, and when his father was murdered in a huge battle between the two herds, he went mad with anger, and tried to attack the other herd with his own. He put his own herd in danger, forcing mares and foals alike to fight. Many died and dozens were injured- it was not worth it. His herd was overpowered and he was kicked out- literally. He was beaten up and was almost dead when some humans found him and took him in as their own- knowing not about his violent past. He tried to forget his past, and hasn't spoken about it for years. Maybe some of the boneheaded evil still resides inside of him, but nobody knows, not even Darkness.
