A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.

This one, as the title suggests, this JMD is based on Akita.
Yep pip, I finally did it. xD

So here are some things you need to know:

1) Why does this JMD have a black Jewel? Well, Akita Inu's are a very old Japanese hunting breed, so I thought a black one seemed like a plausible choice.

2) And as you all know, Akita Inu's do generally have curled tails. I wanted to do one, but as line edits aren't currently allowed, I had to restrain myself.
However, I thought something up. And you have to keep this trait.
This JMD always, and I mean always, curls their tail. The tail is always curled.
Not because it is that way, no it's a normal JMD tail, but because he/she does it.
It is a quirk of him/her, a habit. Got it?

He normally goes by Fudge. I know most people are calling him Hachi or similar, and I love the film, but I personally think he should have his own name to honour. Just like Hachi did. SInce he's from japan and if you normally call someone there last name, he decided to take that tradition here, but he ended up getting the nickname; Fudge.

personality; Fudge acts quite, well, different appose to how you would think a ‘hunting dog’ would act. A better way to describe him would be ‘a playful pup’! He loves to adventure, play and explore and is always on the lookout for new and exciting things. But, if I were to break down his personality, it would be like this....
Good traits are green, bad are red.

{fun loving}
Fudge is a fun loving and happy guy. He loves to keep himself entertained, and make others happy. Goofy looks and quirky acts are what he’s all about, and he loves it. This can sometimes get overhand though, as he thinks everyone else should have fun with him and might end up doing something worthless or rash, and all just to get the person to play with him!
{'adorable'}
Hotaru was often called adorable as a child, and still wants to live up to those expectations now. He had always had a knack for sweets and cute stuff, which also helps him in this field. But is also looked down on, (literally! He’s not that tall for a JMD, just under the size of a mustang.) by others.
{naive}
He is intelligent, but also naive at the same time. Being quite fun loving, it can lead to some situations where some seriousness would need to be applied. Fudge is quite childish, you could say.
{loyal}
To everyone and anyone he makes true friends with, (due to him being friendly, but still wary inside with strangers.) Hotaru will be a friend for life. He made a vow when he was young, to never let any of his friends go. Why he did is unknown, but he has kept his vow so far. And doesn't plan on breaking it.

He also has a quirk of saying 'nyo' at the end of each sentence- even if it means 'meow'. |'D

Everett, which is an English name meaning 'strong'. "Heck yea it is!"

Everett is most clearly female. I doubt you'd want to confront her on that. "Ya think?"

P e r s o n a l i t y

The one word that would describe Everett? Tomboy. A tomboy with a strong opinion on everything. Also, as you might have noticed from her pervious comments, she is very impatient and a bit rude sometimes because of it. "Heyyyy! Now you're being rude. Can you get to the good stuff, please?" Proving my point. Anyways, the best thing to do is just ignore her. She'll calm down as soon as she realizes there's no rush. She is also extremely loyal and protective of her friends, however she can be a bit over violent without realizing it. But she has found many ways to channel that emotion. Anyways, back to her tomboy status. You might need a little bit of history to understand- she was raised by a single father, and loved every moment of it. Yeah, she was rebellious, but so was he. He worked at the FBI, and he taught her how to use a gun. Now, she uses it to kill her free time- Literally! She's pretty light hearted, and doesn't get offended easily. She fits in easiest with the guys, and they accepted her as one of them. Her guy friends, especially her best friend Eragorn, helped her a lot through her father's death when she was 14, and they especially helped her get out of the foster system after a few uncaring foster parents. She lived at her only girlfriend's house until she turned 17. Then she got her own place. She still carried on marksmanship, which is how she earned a scholarship for her college, which she will go to in a couple weeks. As you can see, she had a hard childhood, in which she became overly critical about herself an others. Thats why she's a bit rude now, but she's happy. "Yea yea, we got it. But isn't this supposed to be my personality? I personally think of myself as a quick-thinking, athletic, tomboy person. There. Personality- done" Yes, Everett is very athletic. She did many sports, including basketball, cross country, and kickboxing to go with her marksmanship. Her most prominent sport after marksmanship, though, is track and field. She is a wicked fast runner. To summarize, Everett is a loyal, athletic, down-to-earth, rebellious, intense (sometimes overwhelming) jewel with strong opinions and a soft heart she hopes someone will someday find. I have found her within this, and I hope others will too.
Oh, I almost forgot! That weird trait she has? About always curling her tail? "ITS NOT FUNNEH" *runs away and hides* That's the one thing Everrett is embarrassed about.
