A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.

So you want to know what makes Kolt who he is, who he is inside? Well this stunning male varies from being a rebellious bad boy to a loyal and confident friend. The rebellious side of him refuses to fit into the mold that society wants him to be and would rather have no friends and be who he truly is, than be the "perfect" jewel who has tons of friends. In his beliefs Kolt tends to be headstrong. This green jewel never seems to hesitate to stand up for his beliefs and is often quite rash in his decisions. Like every typical rebel Kolt has a love for the night. Often he stays up all night out at parties and hanging out with friends, but he can be up during the daylight if it`s needed. He has just always liked the nightlife with it`s parties and cool hangouts. Kolt is also notorious for being a flirt. I`m not sure that he's interested in anything serious, but he is sure interested in "socializing" with girls. Sure he`s not as bad as Carmen, but Mr. Kolt does have a string of broken hearts following him.

Now onto the most obvious flaw of Mr. Kolten; his self centeredness. Sure Kolt loves his friends, but usually he wants most things to be about him or something to do with him. Honestly Kolten tries to keep this flaw under keeps, as he sees it as unattractive, but like everyone else he isn`t perfect. Confidence is one of Kolt`s most noticeable traits. It just seems to seep out of this young male from the way he holds himself to the way he talks. Finally once you earn Kolt`s trust he is very loyal and trustworthy. Let`s head into Kolten`s past to finally get the complete picture of this young jewel. His story began in a small Italian seaside town where he was born to a young Italian woman and a former American man. Kolt`s childhood isn`t what you`d call ideal, as his father was a drunk and rather abusive. Often his father would go on drinking "sprees" for days at a time and would come back to be unsatisfied with something Kolten or his mother had done, punishing them with beatings. This violent cycle continued until Kolten was in about second grade. On the fateful day his life changed, some say for the better, others for the worse, his father had been drinking way more than usual as he "packed" together the families few belongings. The drunkard had decided he had had enough of Italy and was moving him and his family back to New York were he came from. Within a couple days of informing the young Kolten and his mother of the big move they were on a fishing boat heading for New York.

Life already seemed better to little Kolt the minute he stepped foot on American ground. Sure he loved his native land of Italy, but the bustling streets of New York seemed more comforting to the young jewel. The first couple months were hard for Kolt and his family as they mainly lived on street, but in ways it was good since Kolten`s father was forced to stop drinking. Kolten`s father managed to get a job and honestly seemed like a changed man. Soon the family moved into a small apartment near Kolten`s uncle, it was small and honestly not high class. All seemed good for the small family as Kolten`s father surprisingly still had his job and they had enrolled Kolten in a school. Soon after getting enrolled in well a ghetto school little Kolt started making friends, but they were defiantly not good friends. Soon the other boys he hung out with noticed Kolt had a very useful talent: charm. Kolt and his little gang of friends had a system had a "system" Kolt would sweet talk their victim and another one of their "gang" would pickpocket their victim. These pranks continued for a couple years, before the boys started with more punishable criminal acts.

The innocent stunts of their past was now sending them to juvie and some of them had jail coming next. Though Kolten`s criminal past wasn't all bad he met some of his closest friends their, like a pretty silver jewel named Carmen. Now Kolt was 17 and he was getting entangled in yet another social group with his new found friend Carmen. Kolten was now into parting all night and leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him. Most of his current personality can be due to this change in environment. Even with this big change in what he did, Kolten managed to keep his old friends from his childhood. Soon Kolt seemed out of control and would disappear for days on end on wild party crazes. He worried his poor mom to death and well his father couldn't care less if he was home or not, as he had recently gotten back into his alcoholic ways. Kolt now looks back on this part of his life and can`t help but laugh. Sure he`s still his wild and loveable self, but he`s now enrolled in college and is a bit more mature. Though he never refuses a good party.

ＢＥＨＩＮＤ ＴＨＥ ＮＡＭＥ

I have decided to name this particularly wild JMD Noelani Kamea/Kamiya Leilani Quinn, meaning beautiful one from heaven that is unique and a heavenly flower. Quinn is the last name of all my jewlies. Kamea/Kamiya is like that because there are two ways to spell it that are correct. Of course she doesn't care how you spell it but I am telling you now that I spell it as Kamea. For the record, her name is Hawaiian and so is her family, including herself.
"My name is Noelani Kamea Leilani Quinn. But if that's too many names that are too long, feel free to call me Kammie or Leila. My most common nickname is Leila though, so I'll respond to that quicker than Kammie, which came when I moved to this wonderful place. I'm new from Hawaii so I don't know much about this place. I came by cruise-ship. Sadly, I was unable to bring my best works of art! It's really depressing that they will rot at my old home with my parents... Yeah. My parents..." She sighs and looks up then composes herself, "Anyway, I love my name. My parents... Did an absolutely marvelous job naming me! I am the only child they had, were capable of having, and have ever had.

ＴＨＥ ＯＴＨＥＲ ＳＴＵＦＦ
Leila is a female, though most see her more as a male. She just tells them to pretend she doesn't have hair. She was born with strange hair down her back and on her back-paws. Leila herself perplexed her family. Her mother was a beautiful pastel colored young woman with lace gloves. Her only other accessories were from love-letters from her mate. A purple and blue swirled jewel topped all of this (purple power). This young woman was named Artistique for her artistic ability that Leila gained. She was the first in her family not to get a Hawaiian name. Her mate was a black handsome jewel with white brindles, tail-charms from love letters from many other ladies (he had about ten charms) with a green jewel, the only thing Leila resembled her family with, named Pehalo. Her parents called her their blessed child because due to some problems in Artistique's early life, she was deemed barren and unable to have children. Pehalo didn't mind and loved his mate anyway. Eventually, after about 5 years of being mates, Pehalo was getting frustrated. He couldn't stand coming home to just a wife and a large house made for a large family anymore. And Artistique could sense it. She pleaded with him and begged him to be patient, but he responded coldly. After about 4 more months of this, Artistique got news that she was 2 months pregnant. Pehalo was overjoyed, their blessed children were on their way! After a while it was determined that it was only one child, a girl. Pehalo and Artistique gave each other a look when they found out. The doctor told them that there were originally supposed to be two but some problems occurred and the second one kind of just disappeared. This surprised the couple but they got over it in a few days and soon enough, their beautiful baby was born by a doctor named Wolfswelpe. At first, Pehalo accused Artistique of cheating, but she pointed out that the baby looked nothing like her either, and even looked more male than female. They decided that she was their baby from heaven. And so her name was created. As a child she was incredibly passionate and artistic, helping her mom with all her works of art. By the time she was 12 she was known around their little area of the island. Some jewels had heard of her talent and decided to go and 'check her out' or in other words, try to kidnap her. Her parents fought to the death with Leila occasionally helping her dad with the vines and her mother telepathically telling them where they were going to attack next and how. By the end, the intruders had passed out and her parents were bleeding to death. "By the way..." Her mother strained to say, "There are tickets to.." She gasped, pulling in her last breaths. "In the cabinet..." She gasped again. "L-Lea" She breathed her last breath with that word and died. Her father continued for her, "Leave. Away from Hawaii. Go!" He was still very *alive* Leila guessed. He was going to die suffering. Leila just couldn't watch, choked sobs leaving her throat, and the blood from a scar on her left front arm. She covered the arm with her other paw. "Please..." her father looked at her. Leila gasped, shocked. "Please.." he repeated, twitching on the floor. "I can't." she spoke, the first time in the whole scenario. "Please..." He kept repeating until finally Leila gave in. Her jewel glowed brightly and the vines wrapped around her fathers neck, killing him. Her fury was unleashed, the vines grabbing the attempted kidnappers and threw them outside, wrapping the vines around their necks. She grabbed the tickets and left. Bringing only her pet pigeons with her.
I'm very sensitive when the topic of family is brought up. Please, I'd really rather not talk about it.

Did we ever talk about her personality? Well, Leila is passionate about her artwork. She pours her art and soul into it. She could be in the middle of a war being stabbed and shot and everything imaginable, but she would hang in there until the artwork was finished. It's this thing she always did with her mother. Working on their art while dad kept on testing their concentration, tickling them, poking them, at one point, wrapping them in a vine cocoons (which Leila almost always reflected). She is also very artistic, which has already been very explained to the point that I don't feel that I need to add more. But I will say that drawing isn't her only way of art, she can sing, she can dance, she can make balloon animals, and any artistic thing imaginable. She is just best at drawing. (She works as a bookable entertainer). Leila was trained by her parents to use her brain unless art is at stake. She always thinks. When she's not making friend or art, she's thinking. Thinking hard. Thinking about everything. Her brain works like gears, always turning, working whether there is electricity or not, in the dark or light, always turning always thinking. Thanks to this she became very intelligent. She wonders and thinks, she learns and reads, she's just very intelligent overall. We're not done yet! She's still very friendly. She wants to make friends with everyone, except jewels that have proven themselves to be cruel in her point of view. She despises rude jewels and gets along with most children. She is also very talkative. Usually she tries to hide it, but sometimes, words just flow out of her mouth with no real meaning but just to be said. But of all things... She is truly ＷＩＬＤ

I never talk too much because I'm the most quiet person ever that never speaks to anyone and just never talks because quietness and oranges that can fly eat peaches and tell the prom that I'll definitely entertain. ｎａｍｅ ;; Timber

In the end, I decided that I could only name this guy, Timber. Now if you didn't know what Timber was, I'd be worried, but I'll tell you anyways. Timber can be used to refer to any type of wood, usually straight cut. It can also be still in tree form, and be Timber, although some may refer to it as lumber, it is the same thing, just a different way of putting it, that's all. Timber does like his name, he likes being named after an aspect of the forest, that he so clearly resembles.

ｎｉｃｋｎａｍｅｓ ;; Timbs, Bera, Rapid, Fitch.

"Timbs" as he is affectionately named by his closest friends and family, who there are, sadly very few of, has four nicknames. Timbs is just a shortened version of his full name, Timber. Bera was his nicknames when he was in the scouts as a child, and it just sorta, stuck. So that is what all his old scout friends call him. Rapid, is purely what Nia calls him, it is a rather cruel, sarcastic nickname, as rapid is the thing Timber is not. His large build makes him slow, and of course, Nia takes any oppertunity to tease. Fitch is just what anyone else can call him, it just sounds cool.

Timber was born on the 8th October, making him 21. I chose this birth date for him because to me, a woodland themed JMD has to be born in Autumn, and I thought October was the perfect month, because it's right in the middle, just before things begin to get very cold. I decided to make him 21, because I don't think he's mature enough yet to be in a relationship, but I don't want him so young that he's still in high school.

ｇｅｎｄｅｒ ;; Male.

I chose male for this Jewlie, because it is quite literally the only way I would be able to connect with him. I think the design is more masculine, and the whole theme just generally, for me suits the male gender better. Plus you think of kind of woodland hunters being male as well.

ｓｅｘｕａｌｉｔｙ ;; Bisexual.

As I said, Timber isn't looking for a relationship at the moment, but if he was, he wouldn't mind if it was with a male or female, but I would be edging towards a female. The reason behind this is because, I want him to have his options open, like I don't want to decide his sexuality is straight, then find I prefer him being with a male. In a crush, he looks for them to be decent looking, but also have a great personality. They of course, have to love the outdoors, and also have to accept that he is often grumpy, and that they won't force him to tell them something he doesn't want to.
