A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.

Why did you choose this name? Ignis is Latin for fire, and since this JMD reminded me of the fires that I love (I own a woodstove, and made an instant connection to this lovely male), so I decided to name him Ignis.

Why did you choose this name?:
I can see this JMD flying about over the sandy deserts of the Old West. I see him as the type of criminal that never does enough damage to hate his guts, but he has the weird ability of never getting caught. His actions are childish and wild, because he'll willingly burn down an empty house to see fireworks go off, but he'd be sure never to harm the innocent. Why? Because he's mad. Not angry, just full of the craziest ideas.

As for his actual name, Colorado is a very calm country-like land which held home to part of the Wild West. When I hear the word Colorado, I imagine that very desert, only on a calm night where it's not too hot or cold, and the lights seen are the full moon, the shimmering stars, and a beautiful fire, which would symbolize the truth deep down in this JMD.

He has a connection to hell's counterpart too, though- his yellow jewel connects him to the heavens, which his spirit more represents.

I chose it because it's Bulgarian for "fiery one". That's just what I thought off when I saw him. He seems like the bold, outstanding kind of dragon (brilliantly made by the way). I also chose it because I named him off of a dragon my friend had in a story. It was about a great fire dragon who had made history for bringing fire, light, an warmth to a certain land. He was a great hero, and that's kind if what I see in this dragon.

Well his coloring made me think of fire. To me fire is tied(very loosely tied) with nature so I wanted to name him after a plant. I was looking at the names of common trees and I liked Alder. So when I was typing it in I misspelled it as Adder and the name stuck.
