I looked up Medusa the other day and I figured out she had 2 older sisters! Stheno and Euryale (both immortal, Medusa was mortal). Stheno is the oldest that has brass hands and sharp fangs. She has killed more men than both of her sisters combined. Her name means 'forceful'.
Euryale can also turn people to stone, and when she cries for Medusa, that stone turns to sand. Her name means 'far-roaming'.

When Medusa was beheaded, her sisters tried to get revenge and kill Perseus, but couldn't because he was wearing Hades' cap which made him invisible. :c
