Happy Halloween to one and all!
Thank you for getting your fortunes told, the cards reveal your fates today: That old black rope comes in handy as you round the next bend. A breeze drags multicolored leaves from their branches, and through their swirling patterns, you spy a glowing creature in the rapidly falling dusk. Snorting clouds of smoky mist into the crisp air, you realize you're clutching the rope you'd been offered tightly in your fists. The smoldering beast is adorned in a gilt bridle, and the frayed end of a rope very like your own is dangling from it. You dare not take your eyes from it as you edge closer to this half-wild equid, but despite it's feral appearance, it lets you approach and reach your hand out to grasp the tough fibers of the severed half.
Hardly breathing, you are able to knot the ends back together, and as imposing as this spectral horse seems, it is willing enough to follow you back along the trail. Maybe you will put up posters, put out a "found horse" ad; but something tells you they will go unanswered. The markings of this creature are too similar to the cards you just saw to be coincidental, and the night feels too charged with unseen forces to be anything but magical. Now the question is: When they ask where this strange and fiery horse emerged from, is anyone at camp going to believe your tale?
I really enjoyed making these for y'all! Please be patient with me as the remaining Trotters are completed, I am a busy mon + college student and unfortunately the task got away from me in the midst of all my other Halloween tasks. They rest should be completed by the end of the week. Thank you for playing! <3
