secret: “Secret? Why would I tell you my secret??” They paused for a second to wait for your reply. “Ohhhh, I get it, you want to find out more about me so you can find my weakness!” You assure them that this is not the reason you’re asking. “Then why would you want to know? It better be a good reason or else you’re not getting another word from me”. You paused for a second, thinking about what to say when they interrupt you. “I’m waiting for an answer, human.” You decide to tell them that it’s because you’re collecting information on the kalons living in the area. “Collecting information, you say, well then, why don’t you go talk to other kalons?” You say it’s because you seem like the most interesting kalon in the area, and because everyone you asked told you to get lost. “Hmm, most interesting you say... Well I guess you’re right, and my secret is a big one with a big story to go with it, so get settled and don’t interrupt me or else.” They gave you a minute to settle down and then they started their story of their secret. “Once upon a time in this boring old place, I came into existence for some reason that I still haven’t figured out, grew up in this old town, and as soon as I was old enough, I left to go on an adventure, with creatures that most say don’t exist any more. But I know where they are, but that’s not the big secret reveal. Halfway on the journey with my new companions, we ran into trouble. And that trouble may or may not have had something to do with an evil thing throwing us into a portal and into a mirror world where kalons were humans and humans were kalons.” Your eyes widened upon hearing this, because it sounded like a lie or a joke, but you could tell they weren’t joking. “Anyways, we found a way out of the portal and promised not to tell anyone of its location in either or the worlds for safety reasons, and it would be completely catastrophic if anyone with bad intentions found the portal. So that’s the big secret. I still haven’t found out where the portal came from or who made it, or if there are other portals. And no, I’m not gonna tell you the location of the portal, because that’s valuable information that you don’t need to know, human.” As you got up to leave, they said one last thing: “now don’t tell anyone about my secret, because I have ways of finding out.” And as soon as you left, they slammed the door shut.
