The horizontal side blades are retractable and enable her to switch the blade from dagger
form to sai form easily. It also possesses the ability to allow its wielder to distinguish truth from lie.

In her world there are two types of grimm reapers, those who kill and those who save. Kitty saves people, and its her job to protect the innocent from those reapers gone bad. Her scythe has the power to heal, or, it has the power to ward off the beings of the dead that carry the souls to the afterlife.

weapon explanation;; A highly decorated scabbard. Merui prefers avoiding fatal methods of vanquishing evil, so Rui usually uses the scabbard as more of a blunt force weapon. Useful as a light source due to the crystals. Extremely heavy, though actual sword rarely seen, Merui brags that they can use it to cut through metal.
