"Have you ever experienced the surprise people get when you tell them you're
Ren McCormick, and yes, based on that musical where dancing is totally illegal.
I have. That didn't influence me to love theatre and musicals though. It was
more my looks and the compliments I've gotten throughout the years telling me
I was a star and that I shined brighter than the lights of a stage. I've heard /all/
the compliments! I don't mind it at all! Actually, I embrace it! I love to be the
star of anything and everything! I love spotlight and attention. Every now and
then, I have been mistaken for a girl, and I have played girl roles from time to
time, but that doesn't affect me either. It's my life, and if I was made to look
this way and be given the attention; why not live the dream some people wish
for? I take it for granted. My philosophy in life is if you're brought in a certain
way, live that certain way to the fullest, don't think you gotta change because
someone disagrees; it's your life,take what's your's! Pfft, you'd think people
would only like me for my looks, and most do, but my true friends, oh boy,
are they a ride. My looks don't matter to them, as long as we share interests
and I treat them right. Yeah, people giving me all the attention can get in
the way sometimes, and only once has someone dropped me for it, but that's
just a real dumb reason to forget about someone, heck, if someone can't
handle someone else getting in the way, well, they weren't a true friend,
were they? I guess I can sometimes get ahead of myself and be over
dramatic and all, and I may have once or twice been pressured to act that
way outside of theatre, but once you learn the consequences, you prevent
yourself from making the same mistake. In short; no, I'm not bothered by
compliments and attention. I live for it and embrace everything I'm given,
accepting the fact I'm something different in society, and suppose
I've been brought to this earth to be the star everyone tells me I am.
If I'm supposed to be something else, I better find out!"

Idea- They get stressed out and scared by it all but act casual and princess-like so they can please people. She's to scared to let people know her insecurities. And that they'll dislike her for who she really is, her adoptive father has no idea about the situation

Kiley hated attention. His shine and eye catching colors did nothing to help that. People were always coming up to him, ready to tell him for the 27th time that day that his beautiful marking exceptional. A stuttered reply and his ever present blushing did nothing to repel them, nor quell his ever racing heart. He hated it.


Have you ever said a word so many times, it stops looking like a word? That's what complements were like for Kiley. He’d heard each one enough times that they meant nothing more than the scared and angry thought that came to his head, a spike in anxiety, and the need to hide himself. It could become overwhelming, the need to get away. Kiley often isolated himself, becoming less and less present. He found a quiet time to himself with only music to keep him company could often be better than the anxiety inducing society that was everywhere. Peace is found in the beat of music and the chatter of the trees.



With exceptional beauty came exceptional attention. Eyes always on him, boring into his skin and tracing his markings. Every movement was watched, and judged. The weight of the fact that if he took one wrong step everyone would know was heavy on his shoulders. Kiley would never be able to tell if those around him were true, as often people put on faces around him. He struggles to find someone to trust, a true enough friend that he could share the burden with.

He wishes to live a simple life, away from the chaos and lies of people. He wishes he could be comfortable, and not have the ever present weight of his anxiety dragging with him. He wishes to find a friend and have a family. He wishes to create his own quiet music in peace.
