who is wyatt?
Wyatt is a daring and outgoing kid. He always feels as if he must be front and center in any situation, always taking charge and demanding attention. He's charming in many ways, and uses this to his advantage - to get what he wants when he wants it.
"Oh, you have a cool new game? Can I try it? Wow, I like this! Can I have it? Gee, thanks!"
One would think that this would drive away many people, but it does the opposite of that. It seems to draw more people to him - well, both of them - and brings him his happiness. Even at his sister's pleas to just quit, he refuses to stop.

who is wren?
Despite her brother's outgoing personality, Wren is the complete opposite. She just wants to stay home and hide under the covers most days, too scared of what the world holds. She doesn't want any part of her brother's schemes, she just wants peace and quiet. She cares very much about how others see her, and Wyatt's actions could very well ruin the both of them.
"Wyatt! One day you're going to mess with the wrong person!"
Even though she very much hates being around others, she's quick to establish that they're two completely different people. Wren is her own person who does her own thing. She's not Wyatt, and she'll make that fact very clear.

what is their relationship?
Wyatt and Wren do not hate each other. They got over that phase long ago.
No, they tolerate one another. They're doomed to be stuck together forever, and no one can change that. Even if someone could, they're too close for that. They know each other's secrets, their likes, their life. Closer than any two could ever be.
But they do struggle and fight like only siblings could. Wyatt is always trying to go out and do something, while Wren is fighting her hardest to stay home. Watching it is rather odd, seeing as one sibling tries to control the body and the other tries to too. The end result tends to be Wyatt as he gets his way, but Wren certainly has her times where even he will listen to her.
Despite their issues with each other, they do care about one another. Wren is always willing to lie for Wyatt, and in turn he will sit still long enough for her to read a book

Mother always said everything had a pair. With that in mind, would that make Arsu and Azizos the luckiest Kalons to ever live? Their body already had someone else. The pair was completed. Mother, however, was still looking for her own pair. That small detail of their life only made the twins more profoundly thankful of their luck. The only downside to the luck they had of being already born together was that they could both control their body. When they had different ideas of movement, there was a problem. Thus, Arsu mainly became the one to do that, and Azizos was the one to do finer things, such as art or writing. It also meant Azizos was the one to do Arsu's makeup at times when she felt she wanted it.

Mother was apprehensive to let the twins into school. They both assumed it was because of their unique situation. They were not ignorant of it, by any means. Everything they consumed until their kindergarten years featured Kalons with only a single head. Their first day had their mother fretting, biting her lower lip. Arsu was even getting some of that palpable worry into his system, and Azizos tried to calm him. The stares were to be expected, but their peers seemed more curious than jealous, as the twins suspected.

Their class was rather small, and Arsu and Azizos managed to learn the names of everyone fairly quickly. It didn't help they were popular to begin with, either. But, most curiously, there was another Kalon that was just like them. Arsu was enchanted, and kept trying to know more about them. Azizos was a bit fed up with the minor obsession his twin had, trying to get Arsu to give the poor Kalon some space.

They learned her name was Dani, and as much as Arsu tried to coax as much information from the both of them, it was to Azizos' drawings that she eventually spoke. Only one head really did the talking, it seemed. The other was content to smile and nod, which was easy enough when the siblings learned how to ask questions with only yes or no. But she took a shine to Azizos' drawings, mainly all the birds he tried to draw. Every new bird she pointed out, and sometimes suggested a different animal. The twins found them to be quite smart. Who else knew so much on birds and other animals? Perhaps a scientist?

But as soon as their fellow pair opened up to them, they disappeared. Their teacher was silent about the absence, only saying they were going back to live with a relative. That couldn't be true, the both of them were smarter than that! Yet, it wasn't almost six years later they finally pieced together what happened. Arsu started to enter their school's soccer leagues, and Azizos was slowly getting better at drawing. By chance, while doing homework at the library (a small assignment on one of your favorite things- Azizos insisted on birds), Arsu wanted to have a break by searching their former friend's name.

If the internet knew all these bird names, then it must know their friend, right? They were only about eleven now, so the magic of the web still held its charm. The first thing that came up with their friends' names was an article- the death of a husband and wife, and their only child being returned to foster care in the wake of the tragedy. The last name was familiar... Arsu eventually squeaked out they wanted to get back to work, even though she was lazy with work.

The twins were now older, going to high school. Azizos was more interested in schoolwork than their twin, who preferred to loll his head around and be a general nuisance. Well, he could keep her busy with making small birds and vines in the margins of their notebook during class. The only real trouble the twins experienced was with Arsu's fluidity- she sometimes wanted skirts and dresses, and Azizos... not so much. But Azizos had tolerance, as it was just clothing, right? The worst that happened was that some made fun of them, and Arsu, of course, got them both into trouble for the resulting fights.

Their high school was farther away than primary school, about an hour by school bus. Azizos was happy to do schoolwork during the trip while Arsu chatted or stared out the window. Playing a handheld game was impossible with one hand, something that Arsu never would shut up about. But Azizos sometimes indulged in it- though two-player games required some work- they could only do turn-based types since they only had a pair of hands between them- attempts at using feet were met with futility.

Lo and behold, in their first week, they were pleasantly surprised. In the cafeteria, when they had some time to look out at all the potential people to sit next to, Arsu's eyes landed on something familiar. Azizos was too slow, and made a strangled noise when Arsu tugged at their limbs, violating their agreement that only one of them could use them when moving. Azizos's head unceremoniously smacked the table when Arsu tried her best to hop into the bench. The only thing that have him any indication was her little happy squeak of "Dani!"

High school was very god after that. There was work, yes, but Arsu was happy to let Azizos learn and absorb information at a different pace. It was quite nice on tests, since Azizos couldn't remember everything. Sometimes he forgot that Arsu wasn't completely opposed to learning. A simple tap of a claw and Arsu would help his twin with an answer. But the first year, they only ate with Dani, but lunch period was woefully short and Dani lived too far away. Their mother could barely get gas money...

It was Arsu's idea. They had a bike. A bit small and with training wheels, discarded after Arsu decided they liked soccer when they were nine years old, but a bike nonetheless. Armed with Azizos reading a clipped-to-the-handlebars map, Arsu tried her best to get to Dani's home for a surprise visit. Well, perhaps Dani would have expected them after saying where they lived, because she was surprised enough to see them panting from exhaustion on their doorstep, a tiny bike marooned on the lawn.

The twins visited whenever they could, happily rekindling their forgotten friendship with Dani. It seemed the girls didn't mind at all, perhaps somewhat happy they found the fellow two-headed Kalon. The twins took to braiding Dani's hair- Arsu especially after Azizos taught them how. It was a bit like makeup, but you could easily correct mistakes, was how he put it. But there was something both of them could see Dani going through the older they got. She seemed to lose energy, simply being alright with whatever braid style Arsu wanted or makeup that Azizos wanted to do, instead of choosing like they used to. Smiles became rare, sighs were more common. She was tired, frustrated with schoolwork and almost to tears, even in class.

Of course her twin friends would be worried as this became worse and worse into their senior year. "She wasn't always like that..." Arsu pointed out, and that was when Azizos finally realized it. It was slow enough for him to not notice! Arsu was decidedly better at dealing with Dani's change than Azizos. He was a bit frustrated that he couldn't put a smile on her face or lift that miserable veil, and Arsu had to explain that trying might not work. It seemed something she couldn't control.

Even Arsu was surprised when Azizos declared they wanted to try cooking. Food made people happy, right? Azizos backed it up by saying that hey, if Dani would be just a smidge better, it was worth it. It was something she could expect! Something nice and good and something they can share when they did hair braids and helped her clean up her room!

Arsu wanted to die when Azizos mixed sugar and salt up. It tasted pretty... off, but Dani gave a small laugh at the mistake, but was silent the rest of the time. The second time, Azizos got it right. It was nice to see Dani slowly eat his food, and Arsu was mean enough to say when it came off wrong, so he didn't worry about if she didn't want to tell him it was bad. He'd improve of course, and make something better.

It was senior year, though, and the prospect of leaving Dani weighed heavily on both. Maybe they could talk on the computer, since the twins didn't know if they'd be going to the same college.

"So, what ivy league university you going to go to? Harvard for like, math or science, I bet?" Arsu asked one night, just as Azizos wanted to look up some schools.

"Mmm, not quite..." Azizos typed in something surprising: culinary schools. "I can be a bit... impulsive too, right? I don't think biology or math will make me as happy."

"... So does that mean you'll feed me everything?" Arsu was slowly getting awed at this, the true nature of what Azizos was planning coming into her mind. "I'm going to have... cakes, pasta... chicken, beef!"

Tall silhouettes dance as the breeze blows, the moons light reflects on the snow creating a beautiful light.
