why are her eyes closed?; Alaska was born with her eyes wide open, colors and all. Though as she grew into her teenage years her mother warned her of the evils in the world, and troubles that others would bring on a person like Alaska who was pure of heart and a kind soul. When things started to get tough, and led towards her crying at night her mother gave her the advice: Close your eyes when you get sad. When you do Travel to the place you love most and remember a happy moment that went on at that place. Alaska took her advice and it worked. Soon things got really bad. So now Alaska loves to live in the happy place all the time. Though she can open her eyes she loves to be at that one moment all the time.

why are her eyes closed?; Mila closes her eyes by choice, not by any means of a disorder or something else that prevents her physically from doing so. Instead, she closes them out of habit from her younger years.

As a young child, Mila was often made fun of because of her heterochromia eyes and unusually breathtaking appearance. Her eyes were lovely, the talk of her small town, which drove the others Mila's age jealous and made them full of envy, especially as she grew older. Her eyes, mixed with her dainty features and swirling coat, soon had her family entering her in beauty competitions and other activities world-wide. World known, Mila was graced upon dozens of posters and fought after in the modeling world. Although shy and terrified about the chaotic world around her, Mila continued to participate in her parent's wishes. However, her parents soon became corrupt, greedy for the high life Mila was helping them lead. As months passed, they became less and less interested in the well-being of their daughter, and more interested in the materials and opportunities of the world around them. Mila was left alone in her world, too afraid to confront her guardians of how uncomfortable she was.

Soon, her shy and easily frightened nature had her slipping out of the limelight of the cutthroat world that she had participated in for so long. Although Mila was fine with her world slowing down into a normal pace, her parents were not. She was soon left by herself, her parents struggling to hold onto their old fame and fortune as Mila struggled to find her own way.

Now, Mila closes her beautiful eyes, careful to conceal what she once was. Her eyes, when she gazes upon herself, remind her of everything she once was and went through. Her timid and shy personality help her hide to the shadows and disappear in throngs of people who would have once stopped her for an autograph or picture. Although the memories of her old life haunt her at times, she has found peace in her new path, and is content settling into who she really is.

When she was Born, Like many other Pups, her eyes was closed but as she grew older her eyes didn't Open.
her eyes were sealed shut, never to open and see the world she inhabits, But I guess that is how it has to be.
Instead of Vision she has Amazing Hearing abilities, her ears allow her to "hear" her surroundings.

A simple and yet odd reason is given by this plumie for her tightly closed eyes, as she does not often close them due to her fear of the darkness that surrounds and suffocates her when she blinks. For this moment however, she is deep in her own thoughts and savoring every memory of the wonderful day she just lived through, a tiny minute she takes from the end of each day just before the horrors of her nightmares begin. It allows her to hope, and to hope is [to yuki at least] to live.

solstice's eyes are kept closed because she fears vision. at a very young age,
when she still opened her eyes, her sight would be slashed up and she would
see strange illusions. it often tricked her, scared her, so one day she decided
to end it by not looking at all.

solstice occasionally opens her right eye, but only for special cases- if she falls,
if she meets someone new, etc. she never opens her left, white-colored eye
because she fears it is the reason behind the illusions. other than that, solstice
has learned how to navigate her way through busy streets and crowds without
opening her eyes.

why are her eyes closed?; As she gets hardly any sleep on Christmas, Mira often takes extremely brief naps all through Christmas day to catch up on her sleep. She can tend to drift off while having a conversation with family members or friends who are visiting for Christmas. Whoops! This can get her in trouble but it is typically forgiven as she is much overtired die to her excitement on Christmas -going to sleep at 1 o'clock and waking up at 4 o'clock.

↝ As a Spirit of Nature, Kasumi keeps her eyes forever closed to stay in touch with nature. After being brought up to be a 'spirit' by the maiden of her shrine, she has become loyally dedicated to the shrine's Japanese Garden. The sun, the flowers, the wind that run through the garden are hers.

As a committed Guardian Spirit, She is never allowed to leave her garden unless it's impertinent. Forever seated on a rock in the middle of a pond in her Japanese style garden, feet in the water and a lotus flower in her hands, she believes she has the ability to connect spiritually with nature. With her eyes closed, she has no distractions caused by reality, and instead listens and believes in the voices of the wind and secret of the branches. She connects with organisms of all sorts, as well as the water, rocks, and even the shrine itself.

She is in no way a deity or an idol, she is simply a protector. She is very easily agitated by the entrance of those not from her shrine, and even then she's irritable. Protective of her garden and shrine in the extreme, she also dislikes males who enter the garden or shrine at all, permission given or not.

Due to her extremely shy and attached nature, she is very out of place in large cities. In cases where she has to go into the cities, she'll carry along a potted Lotus or Iris flower that never leaves her hands.
