Optional Blurb: Darian looks at the gathered supplies Though he could use his magic to make it quicker, he would rather not use too much magic unless necessary until they figure out the why behind the missing sunlight. He might need it later.
So he clears a bit of space to contain the fire, then gathers a bundle of dried grasses and twists them together to not as easily blow away from each other. Then he takes a couple of the larger sticks and feathers them a bit with his knife, leaving little curls of wood along one side. He then finds a more flat side of a wider stick and notches a bit of a groove into it. Finally taking a narrow, straight stick to twist into the groove of the wide one.
As black and smoke begin to gather at the base, Darian then carefully tips the smoking bits into the twisted grasses and gently blows. As they begin to light and burn, he gently places the pieces of feathered wood on to catch. Placing some more wood on as it grows, he turns to Angelquartz and says, "From here we can make some torches to spread light to others in this nightfallen forest."

Optional Blurb: Fluttering-spark is named for fire, despite her usually-cool demeanor, so she is very familiar with starting one. She gathers some tinder, whatever dry leaves and twigs she can find about, and then collects a piece of flint. Startlingly, they then retrieve a knife, and strike its blade against the flint until it lights up and they can throw it to the tinder. Task achieved, but it’s now very questionable why such a mysterious, religious figure of Hsiin’al seems to be carrying a blade with them??
