    Username: acadicus
    Buttermilk: Disney
Prompt: Day 2 - "This duck is still nowhere to be found. When everyone arrived at the farmer’s market this morning, they find that several booths have been chewed up, partially destroyed, or have been left dirty! There’s a trail of muddy, webbed footprints and some white feathers indicating just who the culprit is. Do you stay behind to help repair the damaged or dirty booths, or do continue on your search for this pesky duck? What made you choose this course of action?"

"Oh, so he's wreaking havoc upon the Farmer's Market? Well, I'm gonna have to keep goin' after him. While staying behind to help clean up would make the appearances better, he's sure to just come right on back and make a mess again. It's better to gem 'em while you still can! Otherwise, they'll just go back and walk all over what you fixed. You can't fix the byproducts without removing the problem. Man, I'm getting a bit tired of his antics anyways. How fast can this bird even be? I'm sure to catch him sometime. One I do, I'll come back and try to help with the mess n' stuff. It may be ugly at first, but at least you got the duck, huh? You would not believe your eyes with how much of a difference catching him would be! Man, that duck sure is a smart one, but we'll get him. I'm sure of it."

    Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2

    Buttermilk: Pele
    Prompt:
“This duck is still nowhere to be found. What made you choose this course of action?”

Arrival back at the farmer's market proved to pit two of Pele's biggest traits against each other. Their stubbornness urged them to move on a track the duck immediately, leaving their surroundings in the dust to clean up after the terror. Part of them wanted desperately to track down their quarry, now that they've become properly invested in the hunt. Meanwhile, their nosiness meant they wanted to linger at the market, catching the latest gossip as they helped clean up the mess that remained. They thrived off getting involved in other's business - hence why they'd gotten involved in this chase in the first place - and a large part of them wanted nothing more than to indulge in some drama appetizers before hurrying off on their way. In the end, it was the flash of something shiny in the dirty that decided it for them. The sparkles diverted them down a path that ended up with them cleaning up a booth filled with jewelry, and the next door neighbors on either side of that particular vendor.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Desmond
Buttermilk: Takara
Prompt: Troubled, Takara looked at the carnage, trying to both make a decision and track the trail of destruction - to perhaps find a path the duck - which she was going to call Maelstrom in her head, after this mess - took, and where he might have ended up. "I'll try tracking him," she starts, pausing briefly. "If - hm. If I have to move something aside to follow the trail, I'll clean up what I can, but he needs caught before this happens again. We clean this now, who knows where he might go and what he might do there. The merchants might not be the happiest about it, but honestly... it's the better course of action. Stop the source, stop the problem. Even they can't argue that logic."

Picking up a piece of stray tattered fabric and eyeing the tracks, she wondered if perhaps a quick stop for a map would be a good idea, to get a solid lay of the land. It would be hard to determine what a lot of the booths were supposed to be, under all of the debris.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Winter Shores
Buttermilk: Antheia
Prompt:
As Antheia was walking around looking for the duck and asking moos if they saw anything she noticed some of the booths damaged. Upon further inspection she found that several of the booths had been chewed up, partially destroyed, or left dirty. The owners of the booths looked frantic as they were trying to get everything fixed up and in order. Honestly, they look like they needed help and Antheia was not one to let someone do something alone. Abandoning the task of catching the rogue duck for now she walked up to one of the owners of the booth. “Hello, ma’am would you like some assistance?” Antheia politely asked the owner. When voicing her question the owner looked up nervously.

“Yes, that would be greatly appreciated!” The nervous heifer handed Antheia a rag and a bucket of water to wash the booth down. Antheia smiled sweetly and took both items. She placed the rag into the bucket and pulled it out, wringing the excess water from it. She slid the rag along the booth washing away the mud that was left behind by that savage duck. As doing so she could help but think how when she was younger she never got the assistance she needed. Sure, she cherished moments with others but helping someone was different. Removing something from their plate and helping them felt right. To see the weight lifted off their shoulders and the kind smiles passed around made her happy. Antheia started to zone out while thinking about how everyone should help each other. As she came back into reality she couldn’t help but notice other moos gathering around the booths to help clean up. She dipped the rag back into the bucket to rinse it off.

“Thank you so much for helping me wash my booth down, it seems like your act of kindness has inspired others to help. Or maybe they are just as sweet as you.” The owner of the booth hugged her tightly and passed her some cotton candy, “It’s not much but it’s all I have to give.”

Antheia gladly took the cotton candy from the now smiling heifer, “Thank you very much, if you ever need any help again, I’ll be around.”

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Knickknacks
Buttermilk: Logan
Prompt:
"The best way to help with a problem is to cut it off at its source!" Logan declares boldly, surveying the damage with a gaze that's not unsympathetic, but that definitely has other plans in mind. She bends down to inspect a muddy duck print, nodding determinedly with all the air of a detective investigating a crime scene.

"I'd... really love to stay and help clean up," Logan says, looking genuinely upset- if a little perplexed- by all the damage the duck managed to do overnight. "But wouldn't the best way to stop more damage from occurring be to go out and catch the culprit? That's what you wanted me to do, yeah?" She grins a little hopefully, as though looking for approval on this course of action.

"Then again- I am at least a little handy with tools and construction and such- I even helped Mama Beverly fix the old deck back at the barn- that thing was riddled with so many splinters, you don't even want to know. But tell you what! I'll go find the duck- or try to, at least- not that I'm saying the duck can evade me or anything! But after I'm done searching for the day, I can come back and help with whatever still needs to be done?"

"Until then, though! Rogue duck, I'm coming for you! You can bet your tail feathers on it!"

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: mtuan,
Buttermilk: Abby
Prompt: Abby ended up deciding to stay to help clean up the damaged or dirty booths rather than find the duck. The ducks, even when found, are often hard to catch for Abby and she knows she will be of more use in the creative department more than anything else. Besides- someone else will probably know the personality of the ducks better than herself and likely will be able to help find the way to bring them back. But for now, Abby is much better at cleaning up the booth and maybe giving it a new repair here and there. Abby definitely just thinks shes probably better at staying behind and working on the booths them going to try and find the ducks and then catch the ducks on her own. She would have much more success this way and would be much more helpful than if she had offered herself up for anything else.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Ravendarus
Buttermilk: Magpie
Prompt: Maggie huffed as if she was going to stay and help clean up, what did she look like a maid? No she was no maid and she wasn't going to lounge around for the duck to get away! She was not going to let it get that far and of course she wasn't about to let it keep ruining things. Not that she cared that much but her pride was on the line after all. She wasn't going to let it go to waste, she took off quickly after the trail the duck had left for her kindly. "I'll catch you! If it is the last thing I do." She swore lightly. Her reason alone for avoiding the clean up was not because she was lazy but because she didn't want to lose the duck, though then again she really wouldn't have come back to help clean up in the end so perhaps in a way it is because she just did not want to clean.

Day 2

    Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 1
    Username: ceance

    Buttermilk: Evangeline
Prompt: Evangeline doesn't need to even think about stopping and helping the poor folks with their booths. She dutifully picked up items and graciously gave them to the other booth owners, sympathizing with them and even laughing with some of them about the chaos. She remembers when her family used to have a lovely collie pup that would run around their yard and when she was ready to come in, would proceed to wreck the house for no obvious reason. She just liked to ruin things and would bask in it. Lee loved the lovely pup and was honored to be able to proudly display the lovely girl's ashes on a shelf in her living room.
So of course, she would be willing to help pick up the booths before continuing on her search for the rambunctious and chaotic duck, terrorizing the festival. While there was all the time to track a duck, these poor people could only have their set-ups for a couple of days.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Elliad.
Buttermilk: Melody
Prompt:
Melody lumbered through the market, fur dripping with whatever. She rippled with shivers as her teeth chattered loudly. She entered back through the centre of the market, going from row to row in search of the escape artist. “Has anyone seen a duck?”

She kept yelling out for the duck as she walked through the market, hooves stomping loudly as she grew more aggravated with each moment the duck was out of her sight. As the heifer walked down an alley of stalls, she sighed at the state of disrepair followed by small muddy footprints that most certainly did not belong to a cow. “Excuse me,” she says, stepping up to the stall, “let me help you clean up.”
Before anyone could begin arguing, she began to help with clean-up. “Please don’t argue, it’s my fault this happened. I couldn’t catch that duck – he keeps slipping away.”

So, she began to help, ire rafting through her as she planned her plan of attack to catch the runaway duck.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2

Username: TheEternalPlague

Buttermilk: Cassiopeia

Prompt: Cassiopeia was at a stand still, she just could not believe her eyes. How could one tiny duck make such a huge mess, he was barely up to her knees and yet he had gotten mud and feathers everywhere, there were chunks missing from some of the booths, and someone ate a whole basket of strawberries.

She thought of the pros and cons, weighed her options, and made her decision. She was gonna help the booth owners fix their booths. They didn't deserve this duck going around and messing up their booths and they had spent so long putting this whole thing together, so she would help them clean up the area, pick up the feathers and broken off pieces of booths, and fix their booths and the items inside. She would have more time to hunt the duck later, and besides, after all this damage he would probably be to tired to move a lot. She would help her fellow cows and take off after his muddy footprints.
