quirk, so whenever it happens when they're around it always results in lots and lots of teasing.
midori still loves them nonetheless, though ! but he definitely does not like how often he's nervous.

as i listened to the teacher ramble on about the writing assessment (very boring, if you asked me), my left paw felt around for an object. it quickly found it, now working off the cap. pop! the distinct smell of sharpie filled the room, the teacher oblivious to everything i was doing. a couple kids glanced over at me, then realized, "oh, it's that weird kid doing that thing again." i expertly moved the cap over to a place where it wouldn't roll right off the desk filled with scribbles from other extremely bored kids. i yanked up the sleeve to my coat, only there to conceal the odd things my bored mind would produce. i laid the not-so-permanent marker down on my skin, the cool ink a relief to my terribly warm arm. a little loopy thing it made. after that, a smaller loopy thing below it, and so on. my arm continued idly drawing the strangest of the arts; abstract. straight lines and curved, little dots and big ones, lines both thick and thin. i dotted some areas, only to smear them. suddenly, my mind snapped back to focus as i heard my name being called.
"russula!" the oh-so-boring teacher yelled out. "i asked you, what does this symbol mean in revising!"
i yanked down my hoodie sleeve, then looked at the symbol. stealing a quick glance at the anchor chart, i mumbled, "it means to omit, or delete."
"well, if you'd listen for once, maybe you wouldn't have to go looking at that handy little chart!"
i gave no response. after all, it's impossible to argue with an idiot. the teacher went right back to rambling about writing, occasionally calling out students. i went back to my doodles, eventually hearing the sound of my freedom, the lunch bell. quickly packing up my things, i darted off to eat my food, then return to my travels from classroom to classroom, each just as boring as the previous. then pe (pointless exercise), another boring class, and finally the sweet taste of freedom.
at least, until i arrive home, and i am forced to more endless laboring on my homework. i wish i was still in kindergarten, where everything is easy, there are cookies, and you get to take naps. ah, i miss those days. but even in these desperate times, my good ol' friend doodling is there to save me from complete and utter boredom.

i walked into the currently silent house. a small smile crept onto my face, nobody was home meaning i could browse dank memes on imgur instead of laboring for hours and hours on the mountain of homework that was assigned each day. i pulled out my laptop, turned it on, and made my way to my favorite site. "lets see," i murmured to myself. "front page today; a meme dump containing over 200 images. that sounds like a wonderful experience, i shall browse that dump. hopefully i can make it through all of them before mom comes home, as i haven't had time to enlighten myself with memes so far this week.

..and so the young kalon proceeded to procrastinate on imgur, not giving a heck about their grades or really anything school related. russula had memes to keep himself company, so why bother with reputations and other complicated things?
