Mae is a feminine name which means "Bitter". This represents the one of Canada's expressions, "Truly Sad".

Knight is actually the surname of a boy I know, and it represents the expression "Praying, or Trying to Stay Strong", as bravery and loyalty are what knights are known for.

I chose this specific music video because,
first, it is monochrome, and exceptionally unique and lovely.
They lyrics are also quite sad, painting the perfect picture of Canada's mysterious and tragic past.
When you read the lyrics, they seem to fit like puzzle pieces to the faces I drew for Canada <3

Well I was trying to figure out a name
and surprisingly I was thinking
black and white and monochrome.
My first thought was Nirvana,
Not sure why but I looked at her
and it just seemed to... click.
So that's what I would name her.

Extra: The story of how I met this Kia

(300 words)
I swallow hard as I watch the kiamara in front of me shift slowly over. I reach out a tentative hand, letting him take in my scent and realize that I am not a threat. I smile softly as he ducks his head and runs his soft, black mane against my hand. His hair feels soft, but also rough at the same time. I think it has something to do with the icy flowers in his mane. He looks up at me with his wide, pale eyes and I can’t help but chuckle softly as I stroke his fur. He’s so sweet and kind. I can’t help but wonder if he’ll follow me home.

Slowly, I stand from my position of being crouched on the grass. He watches me with a confused, docile gaze as I stretch out my tired limbs and turn to head home. The summer sun is setting and I need to get back to my house. I hear a soft whine from behind me and I turn. The kiamara was keening and rolling around on the grass. The little devil wanted to keep playing! I chuckle and pat his head as he sits up slowly.

“I’m sorry, boy,” I gotta go home now.

He watches me go with a mournful expression, and I feel my heart wanting to reach out for him. I want him to follow me so much it hurts. I wish I could win his heart! I close my eyes and take a deep breath before turning away and walking down the path of the park to go home. I pause as I hear the sound of claws clicking behind me. I turn and kneel down to hug Phobos around the neck. He nuzzles my ear and I laugh softly. Phobos. My Phobos.

I have Decided to name this kiamara Vara. Vara means means summer in Romanian. I found Vara fitting because this kia is summer themed! I also liked the way it fit her because Vara seems quite simple and her colors are monochrome, and yet seemed to have life. If you are unsure on how to pronounce Vara this is the link.

I see him as being true to his "nature" and "summer" roots, thus his name needed to be a more Earthen and antique one. Linias is based on several of the older Anglo-Saxon {derived from often Germanic or Latin languages} names thrown around in the times of The Brothers Grimm. A more "fantasy" and Earthen feel is connected to this name.

Gray leafs drift down from the balding tree-tops as my silver eyes flicker open. Another morning rips me from warm summer dreams; I find myself laying cold in molding foliage. I hate the autumn season. But, the seasons drift and go; I can but flail my paws uselessly to capture the remainder of my leafs. So, my tail flicks almost angrily at the rotting substance, ridding my monochrome fur of it's presence, before I muster the strength to lift myself off the ground. Too fast and my head pounds, a blinding light resonating from behind my pupils. Any other time and I am too careful, borderline paranoid even, however, when it comes to my own health, it is all too simple to forget. Most every year it is the same, I fear that the coming winter will wipe away all my fond summer memories. However, when I really care, I'm stubborn. Those memories will never slip. Those warm days in my forest, all but a memory for now, will keep me warm in the winter snow.
