[Do you think it will be like the fish-lizards? Or the armored fish?] Zahrek asked, poking at the water with their beak. [Oh, or maybe the shark-things with the spiral teeth!]

"I'm not sure any of those are around right now," Sunshore answered, looking deeper into the water. "Maybe one survived a long time, though, or got cast adrift like us; you're here, after all!"

Blurb: Frogpaw had finally recovered from his sunburn and decided to join in the festivities of the last day, finding himself playing in the water with other campers, though Hana’s warning left him on edge. He jumped as he thought he saw something, laughing at how silly he was being before deciding to prank the other campers by pulling out a shark fin from his onesie pouch and putting it on as well as a snorkel. Sneaking around to the shady area around the lake, he slipped in and started “hunting” the other campers, pouncing on them when he’d get close.

The thing about the Clan of the Sea Breeze is, they do very much have a monster living in the volcano, and by this point everyone knows it's a thing, that is real. There's no way you can really get around knowing that. For all Heatherstar had tried to keep it under wraps, keep the clan from panicking... they were still aware. Haywing had caught glimpses of it himself, had seen with his own eyes the destruction it had wrecked. He was there, the only messenger, when Luckypaw had been brought to the clan as a young fox kit, his parents and siblings killed by the beast and Doespring nearly being eaten as well in her attempts to save him.

You can imagine how he feels upon hearing there is a monster in the lake.

All thoughts of fishing leave his mind, even though there were no camp plans for fishing today anyways - and he stands perched at the edge of the lake, neck craning as he tries to catch any glimpse of this creature. Hana had said seeing the monster would bring luck. Would it though? Would it really? Haywing personally tends to doubt it as such. No way a monster like that could bring anything good. He'll keep a lookout all right - but it's not from excitement, that's for sure.

Preening himself a moment, he took a triumphant pose before he began to swim! Time to hunt down this creature, be it on ther surface or under the waves. Either way? It sounded like a giant fish! Blurb: Littlepaw splashed about in the water, trying to soak up every last moment of her favourite thing to do, she would miss the way the water swirled about, twinkling in the sunlight. Then she thought about the strange thing that had touched her during the swimming competition, she thought about what it could have been! Slightly more brave than last time, she inched towards where it had touched her, watching the water for any unusual movement... she held her breath with each movement of her paw...

"I've got an idea..." Ella mused, taking a quick look at the terrain around them. Good luck could mean a lot to WillowClan--she had to see this monster that Hanna spoke of. Finding the right spot, the deputy unsheathed her claws and swung herself onto a low-hanging branch that hung above the surface of the water. The best way to see something was to get as close as possible, right? Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and jumped into the lake, breaking the surface and going quite a bit under.

"Fishy.. has your family ever encountered this monster?" Tiger asked, curious as ever. "Because maybe then you could help me!"

I don't know, waterhead! Fishy (surprisingly) answered. Stay here while I ask.

"Uhh, Fishy?" Tiger questioned. "I think you've got the Ijuststartedtalkingandimafish flu! There is no other way you can-" It was no use. Fishy already disappeared into the water.

A few seconds later, he came up again.

My mom told me my great-great-grandmother met the monster, waterhead! Fishy said cheerfully. Mom also said that the monster wasn't bad! It was harmless. My great-great-grandmother and the monster had a great time!

"Woah, really?!" Tiger started getting the hang of actually talking to a fish. "Good for us! It won't be so hard to talk to the monster, then! It's probably more of a creature than a monster."

Let's start the search now, waterhead! Fishy swirled around. I'm growing horribly impatient!

And so, the search for the monster began.
