It's been a little over 4 months (I think) since I started trying my luck to apply for WMEquids! I started entering for them in early December 2024, and applied for 31 equids so far (I didn't realize how many omg). I haven't had the fortune of winning one yet, and only managed to snag a breeding opening for equidless users just the once. I really hope to win one soon :]

Second win was 1/4/15, then I applied for an umpteen amount pre-hiatus with no such luck, then won on the news lines 12/7/24, I’m so happy the community is back around!

I’ve been trying out for equids since they first released, including these new generations and have never won any. I honestly gave up for two reasons: (obviously) never won the more simple ones, and secondly, the more complicated form ones I either ended up not having the time to participate or let myself get too discouraged to even come up with a name for the equid, let alone art or stories. So over the years I overcompensated with DAMs instead, even though they’ve been dead for a good while lol WME is very community driven which is great, but as an introvert I’ve always felt rather lost here and end up missing a lot of the events anyway. These new designs have been so breathtaking though I just pop on to look at the pretty art :3

Congratulations! That’s a long time to go without a win, even the most outgoing people would likely get discouraged too. I hope Evermor gives you a reason to continue to stick around.

Thank you all who have participated and dug up some great info and did math! It was humbling to read about the various experiences of our community members; whether it’s veteran players, new players, or those of you who have had hard luck or stuck to the shadows. I think this really highlighted the shared experiencing of waiting and missing out but trying again. I love that.

I hope anyone who is an introvert knows they are 100% welcome in the wme community ^^ Applying can be scary, especially when art or writing is involved, but you miss all shots you don't take! And there is always slot trading if you're unlucky (we all experience that). I offer free breeding slots to my tiny herd to those who have no equids c: and I am starting a tradition of offering slots to those who applied to an equid I won. All that to say, it takes a village!
